Most of what he says is logical. The exception is the topic of national defense and policy on Israel.

The largest pool of voters in the country that never really gets directly tapped are fiscal conservatives who have less than no interest in any aspect of social conservatism, but who are also in favor of bombing foreigners from time to time and think libertarians are loons.

Ron Paul truly gives the impression that he reserves all of his clear thinking for fiscal and Constitutional issues, while completely abandoning it when the time comes for him to consider matters of foreign policy.
