Georgia Congressman Newt Gingrich looked calm and relaxed throughout the CNN-televised Arizona Republican Presidential Debate Wednesday night, and - as promised, he didnt level any attacks at his fellow GOP candidates.
In the post debate commentary, the former House Speaker was mentioned as the most likely winner of the debate. It probably helped that the only criticism Gingrich voiced was against President Barack Obama and the elite media, Republicans two favorite targets.
While the other three candidates went after one another, the Speaker stayed above the fray, often chuckling at the jabs the others exchanged.
Gingrich himself stayed on message, brought just about every question back to President Obama, and didnt mince any words while criticizing the administration.
It is utterly stupid to think that US government cant control the border, said the Speaker while addressing the issue of the southern border.

Newt Gingrich's countenance was, well, Presidential.

Amen.
GO NEWT! btw, I went to facebook and Sarah Palin gave a shout out to Newt on his energy policy. Get this...went to Romneys site out of curiosity and to Newt's site and Newt has MORE people on HIS site that are strong supporters than Romney has ...interesting!
A gov't that can't control its country's borders should't be allowed to call itself a gov't.
Newt knows the historical value of protecting America and our freedom. If knowledge of history was gunpowder, the other candidates know enough about history to blow them to hell.
Newt’s back and Rick was awful. The team player thing from Santorum sunk him with conservatives I’ll bet. Rick, that’s exactly what we’re sick of, taking one for the gope team, you’re out.
Palin: Newts message on energy development was spot-on. Drill now and stop bowing to foreign regimes begging them to do it for us. Then well all be cheerful.

I was looking at the demographic breakdown of the 2008 republican primary in AZ. I have a feeling that AZ will follow the same patterns this time, only Huckabee Romney will be Santorum Gingrich. The only thing that I would hope would make a difference is if all the Catholics in Arizona would vote Republican this time.
If the Catholics, and Evangelicals voted as a cohesive block, they would decide the AZ Primary. It was interesting to see that the Eastern third of the state voted Romney.
Debate responses on Facebook: Gingrich likes 10,581, Santorum 2,321, Romney 3.739, Sarah’s response 14,156. Update 10 minutes ago est.
Right on, Newt!
love your tagline. Being Irish 100% on my mothers side and french on fathers, agree with it about the irish :O) GO NEWTY
*Newt Bump*
NEWT was MASTERFUL!
Anyone here recollect seeing Nancy Pelosi referred to a California Congresswoman?
I believe we are now in a struggle over whether or not we are going to save America.
--Newt Gingrich
Seems to be crystallizing on the unanimous opinion that Newt was “da man” at the CNN debate. I agree, of course. Seems to be looking right going into super Tuesday, and the Southron states. My wife and I thought that Mitt was an unmitigated disaster, and Santorum got into the petty squabbling with mitt, which we thought hurt both. Things are definitely looking up for the free world and the USA.
God Bless Newton Leroy!
When a leftist moderates the debates they never speak up in defense of the girly boy in the white house when Newt or one of the other debators speak out on what an utter failure the ineligible fraud in the white house truly is. We hear day in and day out about what a great leader the fraud in the white house is, but then when Newt or one of the others speaks the truth during a debate about the fraud in the white house and all his policy failures, there is a silence from the leftists.
