No he did not and to be honest I know why not. He had a Republican House and Senate which gave him what he asked. Once the rats took over he had reasons to veto.
You can ask the same question why did that arrogant, lazy, lying pos occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave not veto the Healthcare bill, or the Cash for Clunker program? Because he wanted it and his fellow rats gave it to him
Amen and everyone forgets Newt’s big government voting and suggested only a few years ago that we need a “serious debate on the 1st Amendment.” Sorry, Newt, but I will stick with the Constitution, thanks.
Oh, how far we have fallen as a nation when that's considered a bad thing.
Like many other 8-year-old boys in 1969, I was fascinated by manned space flight and the Apollo program in particular. Now we live in a country where people dream of collecting government checks instead of looking to the stars.
And even though NASA was always a typical inefficient government bureaucracy, it was at least inspiring to think that we as a nation would have the wherewithal to put a man on the moon and explore the entire solar system with space probes. But now, NASA's mission is no longer about advancing the boundaries of science: it's now about faking data to support the socialist climate hoax and 'reaching out' to the camel-humping bastards who attacked us on 9/11.
Kudos to Newt for continuing to articulate a hopeful vision for the future. Maybe we'll someday pull our heads out of our collective asses and excise the communist infection of our body politic ... hopefully it can be done without bloodshed, but I'm not so sure.
I agree with you. It’s not a bad thing but that was then and this is now with $15T in debt and growing.
