Earlier today you sent an email asking the Governor to oppose measures aimed at restricting access to health care and urged him to focus on addressing the real issues facing Virginia.
Thank you! But the Day of Action isn't over yet! Will you take just one more minute to Stand for Women's Health today?
Pick up the phone and call the Governor!
Governor McDonnells office: 804-786-2211
What do I say? Make sure to state where youre from-- just the county or city is fine. Then say something like:
"I'm calling to oppose the attacks on women's rights and reproductive health care this legislative session. Instead of focusing on invading womens privacy with legislation like mandatory ultrasounds and trying to ban abortion in Virginia with so-called personhood, the General Assembly should focus on the real issues they were brought to Richmond to address like creating jobs."
(Mention any priorities you personally think need to be addressed if you wish! Please leave a message if you reach a voicemail.)
This morning, we flooded the Capitol with emails in support of women's health! Let's drive the point home this afternoon so there can be no question that these ideological attacks on women are completely out of step with the real concerns of Virginians. Make the call today!
Dont forget to post your photo to let your legislator know that you stand for womens health!
If they didn't imagine that, they should! Cuts down on the calls.

You can swing your fist all you want, gals.
When that fist contacts someone else’s nose, however, your liberty to swing your fist must be curtailed.
The same thing must apply to your “privacy”.
Have your “reproductive health care” privacy all you want,
but when that privacy violates the rights of another human,
you forfeit that right to privacy.
maybe it is time for us on here and other websites to get organized and get an alert list where mail is sent out to all freepers with info on who to call, where to call and what the call is about and this way we can combat the left and their organization
“””Instead of focusing on invading womens privacy with legislation like mandatory ultrasounds”””
I have read many women saying the ultrasound (intra -vaginal) that was mandated was likened to a “Force Rape”...........Well I have news for these women, first the bill did leave the type of ultrasound to be used to the doctor to decide (I live in VA and called several Senators to confirm this) PLUS I called an Abortion Clinic the other day and it was CONFIRMED that in early stages of an abortion the very ultrasound the left had a hissy fit over is the VERY ULTRASOUND that IS used right before an abortion to see the position of the baby. How Ironic....I guess they will be getting a “Forced Rape” after all......
So sad that so many women were used by the left and comedy shows to create an outrage to the legislators..............I totally feel they were USED because if the left was honest they would have told the whole story instead of just half!
Hmmm....looks like liberals have found a health mandate they don’t like.
Can you say “slippery slope”?
Can you say “backfire”?
Good points...
these “innocents” who might be “violated” by “invasive” procedure have already gone down that path by getting preggers in the first place...and the abortion itself is downright invasive...
this is about informed decision and women’s health...
about which the pro-abortionists don’t give a flying fig.
“Abortion” = “Women’s health”....
Orwellian!
Yep the only thing that changes is that they have to look at it before they murder it so whipping this idiots ho know nothing into a frenzy changes very very little....oh and BTW there are few abortion clinics that have to rely on these machines because they are very expensive and most women have abortions between the 7th and 9th week so by then that type of ultrasound isn’t needed anymore.
Well said, Mr. B.
