I work near a large military training site that trains on a rotating basis over 50,000 troops a year. I see a lot of military, and know the assigned staff well. The Commander told me recently that they can’t even have a decent argument over at their headquarters anymore because they are all supporting Newt!
My grandson says if Newt is elected he will take the offer he has from the Navy. He has thus far turned down offers from them and the Air Force because he does not want to serve under Obama. He is currently studying to be a nuclear engineer. His dad was a Navy man and still works as a nuclear electrician.
My new son-in-law, also a Navy man is an enthusiastic Newt supporter, as well.
Best to them from an ex-aviation sailor (1975-1986).
That’s puzzling that they’d support a guy who strove so hard to avoid combat, or any type of military service during the Vietnam war. From a military perspective, I think Santorum would be the only one we could count on to reverse the social engineering the military has suffer over the last decade plus.
