Going somewhere? Itll cost you even more this week, with the national average price of a gallon of regular fuel now up to nearly $3.70 and rising 26 cents to $4.29 in California.
Thats up 14 cents a gallon from a week ago and a 29-cent increase from a month ago. A gallon is now more than 10% more expensive than the $3.35 it cost this time last year, according to the AAA Fuel Gauge Report.
But in California, drivers are wishing prices were still that low. The states average cost for a gallon is $4.29, compared to $4.03 a week ago. Thats nearly 15% more than the year-ago cost of $3.74 a gallon.
For more than a year, gas prices in California have hovered above the national average. Prices have already reached levels usually not seen until springtime, when refineries temporarily close for maintenance and more expensive summertime fuel blends are being swapped in at the pump.

Millions of gallons? Try 4 BILLION BARRELS in the Bakken formation in N. Dakota and Wyoming alone.
Odd as it is, the local grocery chain has been practically giving eggs away for about a $1.00/doz. for the last couple of months. Beef is $8/lb tho and the car won’t run on eggs.
Eggsactly!
No one in the MSM seems to remember Obama saying gas price increases were a good thing because it would dampen demand.
Jimmy Carter partly loat the 1980 election due to the Energy crisis of 1977. Has he learned anything from the past its going to backfire on him. If prices continue to go up(which may pass 110 dollars per barrel. A barrel of oil is 42 gallons for trivia buffs) he will lose the election.
I should say the Energy Crisis of 1979 than 1977.
