Well, that just goes to show you it’s, once again, not about what the leftist spokesperson says it’s about, but about something else. In this case, it’s forcing YOU to pay for THEIR extramarital sexcapades

Yes. Plus it's about creating a false choice in the eyes of the easily led: The Republicans (the bishops) want to take away your birth control. They (the bishops, old guys, tea party) want to make birth control illegal!!

The Democrats will protect your birth control; The Repubs want to take it away.

It's a false choice but the Democratic Party operatives and their minions in the national press and universities are broadcasting this message to the uninformed and the hysteria is speading on social media. "OMG we need to vote for Obama to save our birth control"

This is a planned, cultivated and devious plot to discredit the Catholic Church hierarchy and mischaracterize the Republican position on religious freedom.

We are living in an anti-clerical age, just like during the reign of terror in post revolutionary France, in early 20th century Portugal, and in the period before the Spanish Civil War. In each of these examples, anticlericism resulted in civil wars followed by dictatorships, Napoleon in France, Salazar in Portugal and Franco in Spain.

History proves that anti-clericism is a very anti-democratic movement and has been fatal to republics.

Those who plant the seeds of anti-clericism, do so at great risk to the republic.

Ridiculous. Birth control has always been FREE. It’s called saying NO.

Law students must practice screwing people in preparation for when they get their licenses.

And "if" (not an "if" I know) their GOAL is the destruction of the republic to be replaced with something else?

I think their goal is control and power, control and power, control and power.

The result, should they succeed, will be the destruction of the republic and a one party system. Religious freedom will be limited to worship in a church building with strict state controls on any religious activity outside an actual approved house of worship, except for Muslims who will get wavers, just like the unions got wavers from Obamacare.

Religious institutions will be forced out of business due to extreme penalties for failing to comply with Obamacare requirements that conflict with their teachings. Today it is the Catholic Church's institutions being forced to offer contraception. Tomorrow it will be another church or other institution the people in power view as a threat to power that will be forced to violate their teachings or shut down, like forcing the Mormon Church owned institutions to allow the sale of wine or forcing Orthodox Jewish institutions to open on Saturdays and so on until all opposition is controlled and suppressed and fear will prevail and the people will submit and the republic will fade and burn out.

The front page of the IBD today showed 0bama at a UAW rally.
The banner behind him showed silhouettes of people with their fists in the air and a banner line of

“BUILD POWER”

Exactly.

I got into a big Obi-Wan vs Darth Maul argument with a left-wing Catholic (in our parish kitchen, no less)-- clear the teacups, ladies! --- and finally got her to admit that what we were talking about was the extinction of all practicing Catholic educational and medical institutions in America--- not just "practicing medical," but "practicing Catholic" --- because she "in principle" wanted to force HER CHURCH to pay for HER BIRTH CONTROL.

It was an enlightening moment.

It may be uncharitable, but I hope she leaves St. Mary's. I hope she finds herself a nice little "Church of Christ Without Christ" where, as Flanner O'Connor said, "the lame don't walk, and the blind don't see, and what's dead stays that way."

Nine dollars is less than the price of two beers at a Georgetown bar.

Georgetown is very beautiful, but prices are on the high side! lol

Forty percent of the female students at Georgetown Law reported to us that they struggled financially as a result of this policy

Well, that's what you get for giving public access to your private parts.

Students are not “employees” of the school they attend, so how could these students be hurt by Georgetown not giving contraceptive “insurance” to their employees?

Shouldn’t these students all be covered on their parents’ insurance plans?

Why should “insurance” cover anything that is universally purchased and has no relationship to a risk, known or unknown? You might as well buy food insurance that pays for your groceries.

liberals think groceries and housing should be provided without payment ie welfare, food stamps, section 8 housing etc..they are missing common sense and a sense of self reliance/responsibility. Its partly conservatives fault for letting kids be raised and taught not to have these natural desires and goals.

an email I got recently said:

The food stamp program, part of the Department of Agriculture, is pleased to be distributing the greatest amount of food stamps ever in its history.

Meanwhile, the National Park Service, also part of the Department of Agriculture, asks us to “Please Do Not Feed the Animals” because the animals may grow dependent and not learn to take care of themselves.

I love that, and I might have to steal that argument about the National Park Service.

Liberals seem to think the “compassionate” thing to do is to provide everybody with everything they “need” to survive. But that list keeps growing, and if we ever finish the list, they’ll just add more to it.
