WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama says his apology to Afghan President Hamid Karzai (HAH'-mihd KAHR'-zeye) after U.S. forces accidentally burned Muslim Qurans has "calmed things down."
But Obama tells ABC News that "we're not out of the woods yet."

As I said the only thing that has calmed down is the reporting by MSM of the violence over the Karan burning.

The riots have calmed down but as the Asia Times put it, the troops have been holed up in their fortified bunkers our of most contact with the Afghans while local press runs stories of American kill squads slaughtering civilians and children for fun. There is no American counter to that disgusting theme. Yeah, Obama is doing great. His diplomatic skill in Pakistan is yet another wonder to behold.

After the radicals have somewhat sated their thirst for blood and death for a few days, Obama thinks he gets to take credit for ending it. Never mind that the murders went on for days after he rolled over for those butchers. He’ll probably say tomorrow that it would have been worse if he hadn’t bent over for them. He makes the same boasts about his lame approach to the economy. When things start to bottom out and come to equilibrium, and the numbers arguably start to look better, he gets to claim that he’s ‘brought us back from the brink.’ Meanwhile the price of gas climbs to record highs and the work force continues to shrink. What a Douchebag.
