Conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart collapsed while walking near his Brentwood home, his father-in-law said.

Sources told The Times that Breitbart was rushed to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center about midnight, where he was pronounced dead of natural causes. No further details were available.

His father-in-law, actor Orson Bean, told the Associated Press that a neighbor saw Breitbart fall and called paramedics. Bean also said Breitbart had suffered from heart problems in the past.

If you have heart trouble and feel lousey, you make a call.

I'd say this midnight walk was likely his usual pattern.

"Shrug. Who knows. He could have been meeting a source, or the obvious, simply walking."

Granted things are done a little different in California, but what are the odds that:

1. He'd just happen to go for a stroll at around midnight?

2. There would be somebody who not only saw him out walking, but saw him at the exact moment he collapsed?

Still, I'm reluctant to dive into any conspiracy theories until more facts are known.

Yeah, that and the EgyptAir crash from a few years before, when the plane went straight into the ocean, seemed like a big cover up. Big time.

I’m sorry for your loss. He seemed to be a courageous and generous man. Many of us owe him a lot.

Please stop with the conspiracy theories. His father-in-law and the medical center would have to be a part of it. He had a history of heart problems as his family and friends have said. He was doing a grueling book tour besides his other work.

Regardless, knowing the Chicago thugs he was ratting out, he most likely had a "dead-man switch" set up for a data dump "just in case". My apologies to the real Chicago thugs of the old-school. Let's wait and see.

Was so shocked to hear of this earlier. Oh, Andrew will be so missed! A terrible, terrible loss and all so incredibly sad.

I can't help but wonder if this had something to do with the videos on ObaMao he was scheduled to release.

How will we ever know? obama in the HW...Holder at justice and Breitbart died in the most liberal city in the most liberal state in the union. I smell a big fat kenyan rat...probably the same rat friends of Rev Wright's choir director smelled in Chicago.

BINGO It was a hit.... we will never know unless the family also does an independant autopsy. I pray it was natural causes but your remember Vince Foster or the Chicago boys of Obama’s church.....

AB made more than a few radical enemies. A consistent pattern of walking alone at midnight would not be smart on his part.

I didn’t think he looked at that well at CPAC. JMO

"Is walking at midnight a popular activity in Brentwood?"

So popular when it happens the neighbors take notice..... apparently....

I agree. Not enough facts yet for a good conspiracy theory. Sometimes stuff happens. For now, I’ll go with Sir William of Occam and think he died from pre existing heart problems.

I feel sad. I hope the tapes come out.

Even with a history of heart problems, I hope the fact that he collapsed on the street justifies an autopsy.

yes, by a very good Private Pathologist

Yeah, you sure don’t (didn’t) hear much about that crash. If I remember correctly, it crashed in Queens and killed 100 plus. HOWEVER, it was NOT, repeat NOT, terrorism~~~~

walking in that neighborhood at night you’re liable to be hit by a Ford Bronco traveling at low speed...

Richard Kuklinski would kill with a small mist of a cyanide solution to bare skin. Unless there is a specific test for cyanide, the autopsy would always list the cause of death as heart failure. It can be done in broad daylight, without anyone observing what actually happened.

Which conspiracy theory did I start with?

The November 2001 plane crash?

Do you still believe that to be an accident?

Kind of FAST cause of death on this, don’t you think?

No?

Who are you to be all holier than thou on an IMMEDIATE cause of death for a prominent public figure?

It may have been natural causes, maybe it wasn't.

Either way, I very much hope he had "if anything happens to me" conversations with multiple people, while handing out zip drives.
