Sorry, but this guy talks like a hobby gardener. Those plantings are labor and water intensive, and vulnerable to disease and pestilence. Stick to basics. If you want to survive, focus on hardy proven crops successfully raised by small family groups. Crops that sustained civilizations in the Americas for centuries: corn, beans, and chilli. You can try growing your "fruits and veggies" after you've fought off the rabbits, dear, horn worms, aphids, Japanese beetles, and zombies.

Bunnies and venison? I hope so! [I have that problem with my berries now, but I imagine it would be solved if we needed more meat.]
