Thanks so much for putting together some of Andrew’s posts. He was a tireless and dynamic combination of strategic thinking blended with great wit.
I met Andrew at that first FR gathering at the Cheesecake Factory in Los Angeles you reference herein. We sat at one end of the table telling Hollywood horror stories and talking music with Tony.
Andrew had been spending more time here in D.C. of late at the Brietbart “Embassy” as he called it (I called it the bunker), his digs behind the Supreme Court building. Lots of conservative journos, pundits, filmmakers and politicians would hang out there. He had a ribs and chicken-fest feast there the Wednesday before CPAC introducing us all to filmmakers who’d come out for the convention. The last time I saw Andrew he was in the valet parking area at CPAC—we were cutting up—Andrew surrounded by his platoon of conservatives planning for the assault of the OWS unwashed the next day.
Shocked and stunned cannot begin to describe today as we bid a gut-wrenching farewell to our FEARLESS warrior for truth. Godspeed, Andrew. Prayers offered for your family.
Great job my good friend.
I am pondering what AB would want us to do as he realized he wasn’t going to be here to do it anymore.
I’m thinking of giving this Christian habit of mine a break.
And following our zero’s admonishments to his adherents.
CAL... nice to see you here.
Nice to see you,CAL.
You did a lot for FR and conservatism back in the day.
We miss you here.
Hi stranger!!!
Awesome. You knew him way back when. :-)
BTTT
You have some beautiful memories, CAL-—I know you will always cherish them, and thank you for telling us about them.
When you get down my way, let me know, and I’ll drive wherever you are if you have time for lunch-——
