Blame Newt. He didn’t get enough signatures to get on the ballot.

Great idea, Marguerite. I wrote him to drop out and vote for Newt, because he loves his country and you only seem to love yourself.

Got a link to Romney’s FB page?

I’ve a few thoughts for him as well....

Here's the wide-ranging interview that Newt Gingrich gave to CNS (Cybercast News Service) on February 12, 2008 (more than 4 years ago, before anyone had even an inkling of movement that would become Tea Party) about Bush presidency, John McCain, conservative vs Republican, dealing with entitlements (e.g., Ryan-Sununu SS plan), court system and [abolishing] some courts (like Ninth Circuit), anti-religious bigotry, "separation of church and state," English as the official language [amendment], solving illegal immigration problem (enforcement, not amnesty) etc, etc.

Gingrich Talks 'Real Change' - FR / CNSNews.com, by Kevin Mooney and Josiah Ryan, 2008 February 12

If Newt Gingrich focuses on just few things like the gas prices and de-regulation (without government favoritism) of domestic production of any and all sources of energy, and need for tax reforms (abolishing, reduction, simplification and personal choice instead of AMT / the Hong Kong model), and also articulates the focus on English as official language amendment, DOM / Marriage is between one man and one woman amendment, "fixing" / clarifying 14th amendment from misinterpretation to stop "anchor babies" / birthright citizenship (as much as any President has a say in the amendment process beyond the bully pulpit and setting the agenda and encouraging the process either in Congress or the states) - he would quickly get the desired, positive differentiation from the other candidates.

Fortuna et futura favi fortus - The good fortune and the future belong to the brave.

Just the expectation that Obama will lose in November and be force to take his jackboot from off our throats would cause the market to go vertical! You want to be fully invested ahead of Election Day this year - assuming you have anything left to invest.

Newt has been preparing his candidature for the last NINE years: methodically, with great spirit of analysis, synthesis and the best solutions in all the aspects of the American economy, judiciary, government, education, health, national security ...

The work he accomplished for his “21t Century Contract with America” is staggering.

http://www.newt.org/solutions/

He wrote books, made documentaries, has given dozens of speeches, was the Tea Party supporter from the Day One and in many places led the fight for the 2010 elections.

He didn’t improvise his candidature, but he built it step by step with intelligence, seriousness and very hard work. All the economists, from Steve Forbes to Arthur Laffer, stated that Newt’s plan to redress America’s economy and create jobs is the BEST one.

Rick and Mitt are mere politicians driven by personal ambition.

Newt Gingrich is the ONLY Statesman in the race. He’s already been there, done that, knows what is to be done and how to do it.
His credentials as Speaker are there to prove it.
America needs someone like him and

Newt needs you All to become the 45th President of the United States.

“there’s the psychological barrier of people thinking Newt can’t win so they don’t vote for him even if they want to, and he drops even lower in people’s estimations.”

There is the leftist media manipulating the voters and the public opinion at large with gazillions of polls and made-up s..t like “electability”.

Best advice to all, don’t read the polls, disreagard the commentators, pundits and blah-blah reporters; vote for the best candidate, as he appears in his plans for America, live debates, public speeches and face to face interviews.

In 2012, his name is Newt Gingrich!

All you say is true.

**************************************

But but but..... he supported DeDe S against Doug Hoffman in NY, therefore, we must abandon him for Santorum.

/sarcasm

That sentiment is posted here all the time.

Newt says it best...he was not aware of the EXTENT of Dede’s liberalism and turncoat nature, and relied on info from people who weren’t reliable, in the GOP E in that district.

In other words, SHE makes Snowe and Collins looks like conservative, loyal Republicans, turns out.

Newt phoned Doug Hoffman and apologized, and Hoffman has accepted his apology and has urged people not to hold the matter against Newt.

Enough said, but it can’t be said too often.

Here’s info on the WA State caucus this morning, in case your friend doesn’t have it - she can find her precinct (if she doesn’t know it) and caucus location:

I think Newt has three people in mind for VP: Herman Cain, Rick Perry or JC Watts.

Anyway ALL three will be part of his government. He also said he would like to have Sarah Palin on board as well.

We don't need elections, we've got polls.

Almost every poll is accurate within five points or so.

I never understood people's passion about the "endorsement" of Dede Scozzafava. Doug Hoffman, a Conservative Party candidate, lived in Lake Placid, outside of the NY-23 district, during his first run for special election in 2009 and was ineligible to take the seat; and the second time nex year in 2010, after he bought the home in the district, but he lost in the Republican primary and then switched back to run on the Conservative Party ticket, as a spoiler (he got 10,000 votes while Democrat Bill Owen won general election by 4,000 votes).

If anybody should apologize for that Charlie Foxtrot, it's the local NY GOP organization and Conservative Party for not doing their homework and Doug Hoffman himself. People who keep bringing this up either don't know this or don't care as long as it helps them to knock Newt (like the myths about bringing divorce papers to the hospital deathbed of his first wife, buying $500K worth of jewelry at Tiffany's, and supporting Cap-and-Trade, amnesty or other stuff that never happened).

Some people are ignorant of this, but many perpetuate these things on purpose, just like Romney's bold-faced lie about Newt being a "lobbyist" for Freddie Mac, which he breathtakingly kept repeating straight in Newt's face during the debate before Florida primary.

See ref: 'Stop Romney' Christian conservatives give nod to Santorum ahead of S.C. balloting - FR, post #67, 2012 January 15

Ref: Gingrich: If it comes to a shutdown, the GOP should stick to its principles - FR, post #104, 2012 February 12.

Yeah, the Doug Hoffman thing is one of the most over rated over played issues in a long time. Your explanation was correct - never mind that Hoffman is a fraud himself also. But compared to Dee Dee, who is awful, he became a hero and folks never realized what a fraud he really was.

Newt should have just steered clear. Then again, on issues like this, everyone wants Newts opinion and always have. No one has ever cared what RS or Mitt thought about anything like this.

Newt should have just steered clear. Then again, on issues like this, everyone wants Newts opinion and always have.

Dede was an obscure NY State Rep for 10 years. Newt didn't know her or her record from Adam (in general, probably a good reason to "steer clear") but he was apprised that Hoffman was ineligible in the district and if he won, the election would be challenged and the seat [eventually] would go to the Democrat Bill Owen, so that was not an option... and in any case, the 2010 primary was going to start and GOP voters could choose someone else for the seat within months while, in the meantime, Republican House would have one more (R) on some issues.

Yeah, the Doug Hoffman thing is one of the most over rated over played issues in a long time.

Constantly amazed how people casually throw "Dede Scozzafava" around as if it is be-all and end-all (even if there was any credence to it), while the same people excuse Santorum's endorsement of Specter (whose record and character everyone knew) on "strategic" grounds, as if Republicans, with the majority in the Senate, couldn't vote in good SC Justices without Arlen Specter.

Boggles the mind.
