NO I wish! A US Rep is only elected by the people in their district alone. US Senators are elected by the entire state. Houston has some pretty liberal people and they have elected our lesbian mayor. The huge Houston metro area is made up of small cities surrounding Houston who do not vote for our mayor. I think the small surrounding cities, Bellaire, Pasadena, Katy, Conroe, Sugarland, etc. tend to be more conservative but I don't keep up with their politics.
