That is quite funny. He is sorry for his choice of words...not the opinion he holds.

He pretty much had to say something to end the discussion - it only harms the right at a very important time.

How's that?

Are we suppose to rollover just because of how shrill the left is shrieking?

It was not harming us in the least until his apology.

Yes, Rush had to drop this hot potato because the drama was exposing how incredibly weak the GOP beltway leadership is.

Why, Judy, should it hurt the right? Rush disarmed the left. He didn't apologize for critizing the hypocrisy and political motivation behind Fluke's long-planned motive for attacking Georgetown's morality-based policies. We've since learned that this was Flukes motive for applying to Georgetown. She wanted to punish them. Her allies want desperately to punish Rush. Rush apologized for his choice of words, something the left never does. Now the whole nation can see the remarkable anger of a disturbed graduate of a comic-book college major in Feminine Studies, native .... She chose a law school in order to straighten them out. She also tells you more about the legal profession than they might want exposed.

Would you, or any of his listeners not listen to him because of what he said? The people most likely to be hurt are his advertisers, because a significant block of the majority of the nation will not subscribe to Carbonite, or go to Sleeptrain. Rush has a larger audience than anyone on radio, and this should not affect that. It may enhance it. And many of his listeners are subscribers, and can circumvent the airwaves - though that is certainly being threatened with control. Many of us have some direct experience with vicious and supercilious feminists, many of whom may wish they had the option to be promiscuous.

The reproductive rights business is an old tool of the angry left, and they are good at using it. Remember Anita Hill. Don't get drawn in. I'll bet Rush's audience is even larger on Monday. The real concern is what the Marxist who loves Chavez on Obama’s FCC board will try to take advantage of what he may see as an opportunity. The ugly language used by the left so often will be avoided by the media, but not the public.

We'll see how Rush's former advertisers fair, having succumb to the Alinsky mob. Any bets on how long Sleeptrain or Carbonite, or Quicken Loans survive, at least without changing their names?

How has this whole controversy surrounding contraception and religious freedom harmed us?? If anything, I think it’s made the left look REALLY bad. That’s why I believe Rush made a BIG mistake capitulating to these heinous left-wingers and apologizing. He really shouldn’t have done it.
