(Reuters) - The Obama administration on Monday plans to outline how U.S. laws empower the government to kill Americans overseas who engage in terrorism against their home country, a source familiar with the matter said, months after a drone strike killed a U.S.-born cleric who plotted attacks from Yemen.

Civil liberties groups have been pressuring the administration to offer justification for what has been described as a top-secret "targeted kill" program in which Americans who have joined al Qaeda or other militants are deemed legitimate targets to be killed overseas.

Attorney General Eric Holder plans to address the issue and the underpinning legal principles for using lethal force during remarks at Northwestern University School of Law on Monday afternoon in Chicago, the source said Sunday on condition of anonymity.

Note to self: Keep track of the folks who defame Israel for targeting killing of its enemies...and see if they comment on this.

So now the Presidents can kill any US citizen that they determine to be a terrorist without any review by anyone.

What could possibly go wrong?

Appears that all media reporters keep ‘forgetting’ to mention that the guy was NOT a US citizen, but was just born as one.

When he was a kid, his Yemeni parents moved back to Yemen. His US citizenship had to be tossed aside, as Yemen did not permit their citizens to have dual citizenship.

He later attended colleges in the US as a foreign student and then returned to Yemen where he became a big wheel in the terriorist game.

One of the couple good things Obama is doing, along with the drone strikes. He’s continued and even expanded a very good Bush policy of surgical strikes against our enemies wherever they are, and rightly deserves support for it.
