Hackers gained "full functional control" of key Nasa computers in 2011, the agency's inspector general has told US lawmakers.
Paul K Martin said hackers took over Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) computers and "compromised the accounts of the most privileged JPL users".
He said the attack, involving Chinese IP addresses, was under investigation.

I think this is the second time that John Parson’s Lab has been hit by hackers.

It probably makes it a tad easier then they hire Chinese nationals for these trusted positions.

At least we have no more shuttle missions anymore, would hate to see the damage a hacked shuttle slamming into a building from orbit would have done....
Republicans don't want to take birth control away from Democrats. We want our Republican kids to get married and have lots of kids while the Democrats abort theirs when they fail to prevent pregnancies in the first place. /sarc
Actually I don't want anyone aborted, even Democrats. Murder is murder.
However, a simple look at the political power gained by high birthrates of Orthodox Jews in Israel and Muslims in Europe shows there are certain advantages to large families. I'm not a Roman Catholic but it's hard to counter the practical logic of the Roman Catholic position on this issue. Letting the liberals destroy their children while conservatives multiply is not necessarily a bad idea.

you really can’t say who hacked into it. When I was young and stupid, I would use chinese IP’s to do my playing. It is a dead end for anyone trying to track it back. Not saying it wasn’t chinese, just saying it could be anyone that wants to protect their own IP.

I was in the USMC with Bolden. He has devolved into an Obama stooge. Somebody in congress should be investigating this and hauling his sorry ass up to Capitol Hill to testify.
Wait and see if the rumor proves true that also trillions went to China, as Ulsterman’s WHI attests, and who declares the “war is on”, suggesting that the push back, against the Obama regime, from Wall Street Insider(s) is finally beginning.

I worked for the company, way back in the early ninties for sure, that was the government contractor for the JPL lab.
It was, you should smile, a MARYLAND company, of all things. No one else knew how to do a California payroll (well they didn’t know how to do a Maryland payroll but that’s another story) and somehow I was just walking along and all of a sudden it became my job.
The stuff I learned about how people are paid in California...boggles the mind.
Even back then it was a government contracting crony, a fellow who knew nothing saved had connections to the Clinton administration.
I cannot even begin to imagine how bad it has to be today what with NASA not even having any responsibility or anything.
Thus it’s no surprise here that hacking of their computers was so easy. I bet by now even I could hack into their computers.
