One such company that had been a longtime sponsor of Mr. Limbaugh’s, Carbonite, said it would reconsider its ad spending; after the apology was issued, it announced that it would suspend its ads anyway. “We hope that our action, along with the other advertisers who have already withdrawn their ads, will ultimately contribute to a more civilized public discourse,” the company’s chief executive, David Friend, said. .............

Rush screwed up big time...this may bring him down and he has no one to blame but himself.

This is NOT going to bring Rush down. We need to start our own online petition like the leftards did....I spent the last hour calling on Proflowers and other companies that I use to voice my objections to their cancelling ads.

Did you know Carbonite was advertising with Ed Schultz while he called Laura Ingraham a slut???

No Limbaugh did not screw up, Fluke did, and a lot.
Limbaugh was right and as far as I am concerned, am disappointed he apologized, no matter how weak the apology was.

Yea right.

Rush did screw up. The blowhard lefty Sandra Fluke said she was there to be the voice of other women. Then she told the stories of six women. Parts, or all of the stories, were likely inflated or entirely made up.

But Fluke never mentioned her own sex life or contraceptive use or needs a single time.

All of that stuff Limbaugh said about Fluke claiming she was having so much sex she could hardly walk? And that Fluke was paying so much for contraceptives? And that Fluke was having so much sex she was a slut and her parents must be so proud? Rush . . . made it up.

Fluke never mentioned her own sex life (read her background; i'm not certain Fluke likes boys) or contraception issues or burden. But Rush attributed all kinds of personal statements to Fluke.

Can you imagine the numbers of listeners he will have today? What a stupid move to come off his show now! The advertisers he keeps will be getting more than their monies worth!

No it won't. He is talk radio's biggest star (actually I believe he is now the highest paid and highest rated radio star out there since Howard Stern moved to Satellite). Also, Clear Channel just re-signed him last year to a 5 year contract that runs through 2016 and is rumored to be worth $1 Billion (yes with a B). They are simply not going to buy out his contract or take his show of the air and keep paying him that kind of money (and I can guarantee with Rush's staff of lawyers, that contract is airtight). Clear Channel will take the advertiser hit for a couple month, probably advise Rush to play it cool, maybe take a vacation or two. Then by mid-summer everything will be back to normal.

You want to talk about civilized? Civilized is forgiving someone when they make a mistake and apologize. That’s just as uncivil as the mistake in the first place, but I don’t expect civility from the left. They are essentially evil people who will use any approach to advance their agenda. Winning, for them, is everything. Honor, civility, truth, etc. means absolutely nothing to the left. They are essentially human scum who appeal to the most base motives of humans: greed, hatred, envy, class and racial divisions, etc.

a law school student whom he had called a “slut” and a “prostitute,”

Someone correct me if I am wrong but Rush didn’t exactly say she was a slut or a prostitute. He inferred that you would call SOMEONE who expects others to pay for their contraceptives? You call them a slut.

Rush screwed up big time...this may bring him down and he has no one to blame but himself.

I don’t think so. So a few advertiser will pull out (no pun intended) I would guess the advertiser who do pull out (no pun intended) will suffer more than Mr Limbaugh.
Anyhow, the left with the full force of the media ( Propaganda arm of the Demonrat Party), once again, is making this much larger (no pun intended) than it actually is. What a surprize.
Not only is Mzzz Fluke slut-like (probably a dyke) the word that she is a plant is spreading like a STD (pun intended)

Go Rush!
Go Team!

Here’s a dilemma, and I’d like some input on it. I have seen that seven advertisers have now had some kind of suspension or withdrawl of advertising with Rush. A lot of angry people are saying that they’re writing letters that say that they’ll NEVER use the product or service again. I’m not sure that that’s the correct way to go about it, but am open to suggestions. When boycotters threaten to boycott, they usually say “I’m not going to buy your product /service as long as you continue to ____________.” Then they leverage their dollars to get their point across.

If, on the contrary, we tell Rush’s advetisers that if they sanction him, we’ll “NEVER” use their service again, doesn’t that give them more of a reason not to come back to Rush. I realize maybe people don’t care, but I’m hoping that Rush doesn’t go the way of Glenn Beck (who I seldom hear about these days). His advertisers were attacked over and over, until they pretty well dried up.

Anyway, it’s not something I can say definitively, but am looking for input. Also, if anyone can name the advertisers that are standing with him, for us to patronize, I’d appreciate it. I’d been considering using Carbonite, but won’t because of the leftist CEO anyway. How can we best support him (Rush)?

Rush screwed up big time...this may bring him down and he has no one to blame but himself.

Are you suffering from too much agent orange sniffing?

Rush made a mistake... by apologizing to that professional demonRAT plant whore.

Other than that, screw the sponsors that cancelled on Rush, that will hurt them, not him.

I just called Pro-Flowers and ordered 10 dozen red roses and after the clerk on the phone was all bubbly and gooey, I axed if this was the company that just cancelled Rush, and she said yes, and I said, well then cancel this order.

David uses his own daughter as a foil in his corporate advertising. I suspect he's more concerned with being able to save that part of his company image than having it melded into continued support for Limbaugh.

So, no, I don't believe Dave is terribly concerned for his daughter's personal reputation ~ he's taken care of that already ~ she was but a minor when she crashed her old worn out disk drive and lost her term paper.

I've never much respect people who use their babies commercially, really, never!

—Fluke never mentioned her own sex life (read her background; i’m not certain Fluke likes boys)—

I confess that when I read the original comments by fluke I thought to myself, (She seems to be a living dichotomy because I would have guessed that she was a lesbian). Did Rush not notice this too?

This is looking more and more like a severely boneheaded move by Rush. This causes one to infer that it is not what we think it is, and Rush has an ace up his sleeve. i.e. he knows what he is doing here and it has not yet played out.

The only “screw up” he made was to apologize. This woman is an abortion activist and trying to depict her as a poor law student is a fraud. Today’s Rush show will probably be one of the highest rated shows he has ever has and I will bet he will replace those sponsors twice over.

Uh, right...there is a line of people waiting to advertise. This is the first time these bogus efforts worked on Rush. We’ll see if it has any meaningful impact.
