Hey, I might vote for Santo over Romney, if it comes to that. I am just trying to understand why, even though Newt has, in my opinion, made the most powerful arguments against the federal usurpation of religious liberty in the “contraception rights” debacle, religious folks latched on to Santo, despite Newt’s clearly superior energy, economic, and jobs plans. Just trying to be objective here.

Get back to the important issues, you know, like sodomy and such. Who cares about energy, jobs, security, taxes, etc?

Don’t forget that Newt was willing to align himself with the global warming hoax. Moreover, only RP has an economic plan that MIGHT pull us back from the abyss - Newt’s is just more D.C. fiddling.

That aside, I think Newt has many positives, and he would cetainly lay a smackdown on Obamalini rhetorically. I’m not so sure he would win - or, perhaps, if gas hits $5-$6 and stays there, anybody could beat Obamalini. I don’t have a crystalball. All I can say is that I would support Newt if he is the nominee.
