Osama Bin Laden's body wasn't buried at sea, but was instead flown back to the US, leaked emails suggest.
Military think-tank Stratfor was hacked late last year in an attack attributed to Anonymous splinter group LulzSec - and for which alleged hackers including 'Sabu', aka Hector Xavier Monsegur, have just been arrested.
Two weeks ago, Wikileaks started publishing several million emails harvested during the attack. And, now, some of the latest look set to excite the conspiracy theorists.
The official White House story is that Bin Laden's body was buried at sea on May 2 last year, around 12 hours after his death - in keeping with Muslim tradition, which demands a swift burial.
But the newly-released emails suggest that, at the very least, this wasn't the plan at the time.
In one, sent to a colleague at 5.51am on the day Bin Laden was killed, Stratfor VP for intelligence wrote: "Body bound for Dover, DE on CIA plane. Than onward to the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Bethesda."
At 1.36pm, he wrote again, saying: "Body is Dover bound, should be here by now."
However, if the emails are to be believed, there appears to have been a change of plan. Just a couple of hours later, Burton wrote: "Down and dirty done. He already sleeps with the fish."
Of course, another possibility is that Stratfor - which claims to have the ear of the US government - was left out of the loop on this occasion.
Stratfor has consistently refused to confirm or denty the authenticity of the emails, saying some 'may' have been forged or altered.

No kidding. My personal belief is that he became worm food at Tora Bora years ago.
Bad assed for sure. In Nam we used LZ’s that had been cleared years before by Daisy Cutters. I never saw one used.
