If the hypocrisy of this silly uproar over Rush and the constant drumbeat of just why Maher wasn’t chastised over his remarks about Sarah Palin continue....and it looks like it will....this might be the jig is up moment for the libs.
The left wins these orchestrated battles because they control the media and the national conversation. But this thing with Bill Maher, the million bucks to Obama, the fundraisers Maher will attend, somebody actually asking this question at the Obamer news conferance and yesterday somebody following one of those way out Dem woman asking for comment about the Maher thing with...Shiela Jackson Lee I think....saying over and over she had no comment....this will not only destroy THIS bit of plan by the left...if we’re lucky it’ll plant doubt against every future effort they make like this.
Which is an astonishing run on sentence I know but I think out loud.
The old saying is...”fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.” Not only is this hypocrisy with Maher essentially doing the same thing as Rush greeted with silence by the left showing up the shallowness of THIS flap, it’ll cast a pall over all future orchestrations the left does as is their wont.
See, Alinsky’s rules might be good ones for the left, but they mean nothing if everyone’s on to you.
Yesterday I was talking to a co-worker, and I tried to compare Maher to Rush. It was dumb on my part.
Rush used a term to describe a woman, ‘called her a name’. The name may describe her, may not. Rush doesn’t know the specifics of her sex life. If she has one partner she is not a ‘slut’, just has sex a lot (according to her own ‘testimony’). She is not a prostitute, otherwise her paying sex partners would be providing means for her to buy birth control.
Maher (and many on the left) use similar ‘names’. Not as descriptions, but as common derogatory terms/insults.
Completely different. We are talking about a double standard, but not on the level that I initially thought.
I think the jig is up moment has already arrived. The Left is having a terrible time holding this farce together. The Catholic Church has not forgotten this birth control mandate. Bring out this Fluke woman to publicly tell us how she goes to Georgetown and needs over $3 thousand to pay for what must be a hell of a lot of poking really does disgust a lot of those in the middle.
As a Catholic myself, I know a lot of Catholics who are in the mushy middle,they want to be ‘fair’ and not ‘judgmental’. They were being ‘open-minded’ and all that crap when they voted Obama. Sure, many are simply liberal dolts. But many are the kind who don’t follow politics closely but then watch the liberal press right before the election and decide based on that garbage.
This is a bt different. In 2009, Notre Dame University bestowed an honorary doctorate on Obama. Obama used the chance to talk a lot of fluff to how much he respects religious freedons., blah, blah, blah His historical votes for infanticide never came up. Many, many bishops publicly criticized and even condemned ND for that disgusting display. By now it would be forgotten, but for the fact that Obama and the Left never spare themselves the chance to attack and mock the church. Rather than going away, the problem grows and stays in our minds in this election year. Obama will not get the same percent of the Catholic vote he got the first time around. This contraception mandate on Catholic employers, abortion mandates and this game with Fluke is not good for Obama and the left.
Shiela Jackson Lee and Schakowsky, the other leftist congresswoman from Chicago, ran away from that TV interviewer because they too know that this is no good for them, either.
