This was the dynamic of 2008 for the dems, people were so blinded by a young unvetted politician, with a little senatorial experience, who spoke their language, and no amount of talking could get them to deal with reality.
It is so true that we have a similar dynamic with Santorum and Obama supporters. It’s like they are mesmerized. They do not want to hear anything that might take some of the polish off their Chosen One. I see a lot of actions taken by Rick that were based on political expediency rather than sticking with any pricncipled position. A lot of people don’t know that although Rick has always been Catholic, he was pro choice until he entered politics. He even wrote position papers defending abortion.
I am very leery of a man who uses his faith to elevate himself, who describes himself by the word “courage”.
