It's hard to believe, based on this utterly ridiculous situation being reported, that this is not made up!

Shouldn't the first question be, what is a lesbian and a Buddhist doing teaching at a CATHOLIC school? This is beyond ridiculous... And wasn't she given the communion later on by an extraordinary minister?

Yes! Who is making the decisions to let these agitators in? Based on what precept? I suppose with the same logic allowing a lesbian and Buddhist teach, if an Atheist wanted to be included the Catholic church would let them.

It's convoluted and ridiculous.

This story does not pass the smell test, but if true...
This filthy girl should have received communion if for no other reason then to cleanse her pathetic soul.

Why would a Buddist want to try to take communion unless she were wanting to make a political statement at her own mother’s funeral?

I’m a Christian, and I get a great deal of spiritual benefit from communion, but I know that the Catholic Church does not choose to give me communion. I would not ask for communion at a Catholic church, and I would not throw a fit if they refused to violate their beliefs and give me communion. Liberal activists disgust me.

Are you Catholic? Because it is sinful and further damaging to a soul to accept Our Lord in Holy Communion when someone is not in a state of grace. If she was openly lesbian then she was not in a state of grace.

Popular Catholic clogger Thomas Peters

Clogger? Clogging is a type of dance, especially cute when little children perform it.

She’s not a Buddist and she’s certainly not a Catholic.

Rather, she’s a disciple of Satan who does her master’s bidding.

In a thorough examination of the entire Congress of the central socialist government we’d find many who have indeed sold their souls to the devil for political gain. The present phony who occupies the oval office, along with, for example, the two phonies who are senators from California clearly demonstrate the strength of satanism in the nation’s capitol.

She walked up to the priest right before Mass and introduced another woman as her ‘lover,’ according to sources familiar with the parish.

It is disgusting that this person would use her own mother’s funeral for her political grandstanding.

It is also disgusting that the dicoese would abet her in her efforts.

Canon 915 of the Roman Catholic Church’s Code of Canon Law states those who are “obstinately persevering in manifest grave sin are not to be admitted to holy communion.”

This is the clincher in the article. Being a lesbian is about as grave a sin against Canon Law as you can find. And Holy Communion isn't about cleansing. I've never taken Communion before Confession. A true Catholic will not take Communion or will go prostrate before the Host and be simply blessed by but not receive the Host if they are with sin.

I spend time in the church every Saturday for Confession and spiritual meditation so that I may receive Communion at Mass. Under no circumstances should this disgusting Buddhist lesbian be given the Host. Liberals are trying to demean and destroy the meaning of spirituality to suit their twisted means, and I pray this church and the diocese do not cave to media pressure.

We need to go back to the church of old: a hard-nosed institution that requires her members to be upright citizens who walk in the light of the Lord. He who walks with sin does not deserve a place at the table of the Lord.

While I wouldn't use the "state of grace" phraseology, I understand what you are talking about and will say, that's not just a Catholic belief but one in every church I've ever been in.

I am an Episcopalian. (I know...) When I was visiting a friend’s Catholic Church recently, I sought out the Priest beforehand, because I did not know what the rules were for receiving Communion. The Priest politely informed me that I must not receive Communion at his church and I did not.

What’s so hard about that!

Of late, we have learned that quite a few FReepers don’t cotton to it either.

Thomas Peters is a blogger, I suspect he's a Catholic blogger and takes the letter "C" from Catholic and replaces the letter "B" in the word blogger with it.

Of course, he may well be a clogger (Dancer) too. It's still cuter when the little ones do it and some of them are very good at it.

I'm 66 years old and cannot remember when I ever had the energy to clog.
