I thought he passed away.

By "natural causes"? Because having him alive could have presented problems when they were trying so hard to hide that relationship.

He passed away last October.
We are all SO embarrassed that he was from Pittsburgh.

Black people in this town may be Democrats, but they’re not
all crazy racist certifiable whack-jobs like this guy.

He might have passed away, but his stupid ideas live on - here's a good example:

Bell also railed against the racism that motivated acts of white-on-black crime, lamenting that “even our lives … are threatened because of our color.”[7] That claim did not square with the fact that more than 90 percent of African American murder victims nationwide are actually killed by fellow blacks, but it made for a nice sound bite.
