Newt doing well in Ala and Miss- considering the adverse MSM calls for him to drop out.

Newt will rise again.

Good for Newt! I am always surprised when state so similar and even sharing a border turn out differently (reference Tennessee).

I think he will too. When he wins a couple southern states and gets more national exposure, people will see how he could run rings around Obama, he will pick up momentum.

The DEEP south vs the south, is part of the difference.

In TN you had James Dobson advertising 24/7 for Santorum, and he’s IN Tennessee.

Newt’s past will be more held against him there, than in his brother deep south states.

IF Newt were the nominee against Obama, he would win TN big.

Give them a choice, and they feel better about themselves and their standards if they pick “the other guy” in the primary.

I know the state...have close family there.

As for myself, I’m looking for a PRESIDENT!

Santorum got the evangelical vote in TN. Romney had the RINO vote and there are plenty of them. See our two senators and governor.

Makes me wonder how the tally would be like in Mississippi had it merely been :

Gingrich, Romney, Paul

or

Santorum, Romney , Paul

One thing is certain — ROMNEY ISN’T SELLING WELL IN THE SOUTH.

We need Romney’s number to go down further to 20% as he will have all eastern liberal states, winner-take-all delegates, very few southern states, after April 1st.

Romney will go to brokered convention if :

1.He pick up little in the south

2. or Newt win couple after April 1st besides Texas.

I feel good about our chance but our southern patriots, you must work harder!

Yes, it has been happening to Santo for about 3 weeks now since he was not vetted in Aug, Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan, and half February.

No one thought to vett him when he once polled at 2% and behind RuuuuPaul.

I was going to comment on the bias in the headline, but I see that it didn’t appear at the source.
