How come all these politicians, from local mayors to county, to state and those in the federal mob all live like celebrities, with multi-million dollar homes, world travel, multiple businesses, big off shore bank accounts, limos, private drivers, top shelf wages, and those lottery style retirement benefits, etc.

WTF is up with that?

They ruled against his residency because he spent time there and DID pay the taxes. He honestly thought he was following the rules. Personally, I wouldn’t have paid for it either.

The school district failed to file the necessary documents before the deadline to get the Santorum's payment. And because of that, the ruling was in favor of Sanctimonium, a techinality. He could have paid the bill, some 50 thousand dollars, as a good faith, "following the rules" gesture, BUT HE DIDN'T. the school district was on the hook for it. But then, when you're the God-has-called-me candidate, you shouldn't trouble yourself with trite earthly matters such as paying your bills.

I don’t know where he lives, but the value of houses in many areas of DC and the nearby VA and MD neighborhoods have gone down significantly since 2007. There are some areas that have gone back up, but it is spotty.

A lot worse has been said about candidates who were a lot more conservative than Samtorum!

You’re not going to have more of a winner, because nobody wants to say a bad word.

Sure just don't say anything bad about your current pick. Got it. Romney is the one to defeat here, and neither Rick nor Newt will be able to knock him off as long as it is a four man race. Maybe you should pick more on Ron Paul since he has absolutely zero chance to receive the nomination.

If you can’t make your case for Gingrich’s continuing presence say so.

Can't make that case and never tried to. I don't even want Newt to stay in. You must have me confused with someone else as I didn't post on this thread.

Oh no, I just pinged you in a response to ansel12 who tells us that Gingrich is the “official candidate” of FR and is attempting to silence the rest of us-Santorum backers, on FR.

>>BUT HE DIDN’T. the school district was on the hook for it.<<

SO?
I wouldn’t either. What part of “he paid taxes on his part time residence, the home he owns in district” don’t you get?

What kind of a lib are you? You’re saying, “Hey, take the man’s taxes THEN he should give more!”

That’s Moronic.

>>PA law has held it is where he SLEEPS that the child lives for school district purposes.<<

They all SLEPT there. Part time.
Look, even if he is out of district, the PA board of education allows non-district children to go to the Virtual Charter.

He paid his property taxes. He PAID. Witch hunt aside.

Dear ansel12,

It’s beyond crazy for you to think that Santorum is pro-abortion.

Santorum is not only strongly pro-life, he is endorsed by folks like Gary Bauer and a host of Southern Evangelicals. He is so pro-life that some have smeared him as trying to force his views on women. He believes life begins at conception. He practices his belief, and is raising his seventh child who is afflicted with Down’s syndrome. I’m sure you are aware of his attack on JFK’s speech as being an attempt to insulate religious views from the public dialogue.

So why you folks are so hell-bent on spreadings these falsehoods escapes us especially since your guy Gingrich has not only become the “spoiler” in this race that is giving us Romney, we all know too well Gingrich’s view’s on the individual mandate, on cap and trade, and his view on amnesty (for grandmothers) to say nothing of his looney ideas about permanent moon-based colonies in eight years and $2.50gas/gallon Voila! regardless of world markets and geopolitical conditions.

Again, it was Carl Cameron who reported on FoxNews during Super Tuesday, that “the Romney camp is happy for Gingrich to be in the race” And why not, since we al know that Romney won by a squeaker in MI, AZ, WA, and OH by splitting the conservative vote. Is that what you too want?

Sorry, doesn't work that way.

Non-district children can attend any school in PA, provided the district has room, by PAYING TUITION. He was offered, by the director of the charter, free tuition if he would just pay the "technology expenses". Like a petulant little boy, he picked up his marbles and went home rather than paying the technology fees.

I've paid PA school taxes for the past 42 years so don't try to act like that is some sort of badge - he paid property tax - but if I had school age children they would not be eligible for PA education since I don't LIVE there.

Keep telling yourself it was just a witch hunt - I suppose the homestead discount which he was also receiving was an entitlement even though to receive it you SIGN that it is your primary residence.

>>and paid the fine HIMSELF and not let the State of PA pay it for him.<<

Please.
He owned the house. He paid the taxes. If his parents live nearby, so did they.

Witch hunt aside.

Watch this video of Santorum and Specter, and know that Santorum was backing pro-abortion Romney last cycle.

It isn’t a “falsehood”, are you saying that Senator Santorum did not endorse him? That Specter’s platform was not as he says as he announces it on that stage with Santorum cheering him?

Here is video of Senator Santorum on stage with Arlen Specter, as Specter is announcing his Presidential run, based on making the GOP a pro-abortion party, Rick Santorum endorsed him, and campaigned for him and his platform.

http://www.c-spanvideo.org/program/64281-1

Transcript Highlights:
Santorum is seen nodding and applauding at Specter’s side:

3:46 mark: “In 1996, I intend to win the other house — the White House — with ten commitments to America… including a woman’s right to choose…

13:22 mark: “Even though we have this historic opportunity for these achievements, there are those in our party who would lead us down a different path — and squander this unique moment in our nation’s history — by using our political capital — to pursue a radical social agenda — that would end a woman’s right to choose…

13:48 mark: “When Pat Robertson says there is no constitutional doctrine of separation between Church and State, I say he is wrong…

14:31 mark: “When Ralph Reed says a pro-choice Republican isn’t qualified to be our President, I say the Republican Party will not be intimidated or blackmailed by those kinds of threats.I, and millions of other pro-choice Republicans, will not be disenfranchised and made second class citizens.

15:33 mark: “… it is not Christian, or religious, or Judeo-Christian to bring God into politics; or to advocate intolerance and promote exclusion.

15:54 mark: “I want to take abortion out of politics. I want to keep the Republican Party focused on the vital economic and foreign policy issues — and leave moral issues such as abortion to the conscience of the individual. I believe abortion is an issue to be decided by women…

16:40 mark: “I pledge to lead the fight to strip the strident anti-choice language from the Republican National platform…”

SO? I wouldn’t either.

That's YOUR morality, and apparently santorum's. Not my business.

If he had paid the technology fee and taken the tuition, it would have been illegal. You can’t take gifts from constituents when you are in congress. And his enemies would have torn him up. Don’t let your dislike of him make you think irrationally.

Sorry you don’t like the man, but he paid his taxes and unlike you he lived there, be it part time. If he wasn’t Rick Santorum, who was hated by the left long before he was running for president, this would be a moot point.

You can hang him on a technicality. I’m not.

LOL!
Yeah. I’ve paid property taxes since 1982. I’ve homeschooled my kids. No one gives me any money back on it.

He paid in the district. Nuff said.

Of course, we all know he backed Specter but that not because of Specter’s pro-abortion but in spite of them BECAUSE Specter was tapped to be the next Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee and conservatives needed Specter to push pro-life judges like Roberts and Alito. Sheesh, you guys need to do more than go to selective quotes and anti-Santorum websites.

If Specter had lost, Cornyn was next in line, who didn’t want it because he had his eyes set on another committee. And after Cornyn, it was Kyle - not sure of the spelling. Check the facts out.
