I would think there is no way that Romney would be close in Mississippi unless he has received some big local endorsement. He has received the endorsement of the Mississippi Gov. Bryant (Barbour is no longer the MS Gov.)

In regards to Rasmussen; I can’t understand why Fox News, Hannity, etc., hold him in such high esteem, when he’s not the most accurate pollster out there at all. Rasmussen seems to have his own little commentaries about everything. Just show us your number Scotty, and shut up.

I don’t know...people say Ras is for Romney. That wouldn’t be a bad thing to Fox News, and as for Hannity, his two favorite pollster interviews have always been Ras and Zogby. MAybe he likes them because they always come on his show when he wants pollsters, and they have famous names. Who knows?

There’s a thread showing Ras having Newt up slightly in AL, but Romney is doing very well there in his poll, too.

VinL, who posted that, commented that if Ras has Newt up by 1, then he’s really up by 5.

Who is Bryant that Mississippians would follow him in lockstep? Being governor shouldn’t guarantee that.

Look what SC thought of their governor’s endorsement of Mitt!
