Weekly Standard ^ | 3-9-12 | Anderson

Three weeks ago, Rasmussen’s poll of likely voters showed Speaker Newt Gingrich trailing President Barack Obama by a whopping 27 percentage points (51 to 24 percent) among independent voters. Now, Rasmussen shows, Obama’s lead over Gingrich has shrunk to just 6 points (41 to 35 percent) among independents. Obama also leads Gingrich by 6 points (44 to 38 percent) among all likely voters.

“Newt was GENIUS in formulating this $2.50 per gallon theme”

I love the way answered the question about Rush’s apology. Never seen a conservative so effective. Newt immediately turned the issue to Obama’s apology to religious fanatics for burning the terrorist defaced Korans. Why aren’t we talking about that apology instead of this one?

Then he asked why media is now so interested in contraception but never asked about Obama vote FOR INFANTICIDE. Hilarious. This guy knows how to slam the media.

People foolishly think Romney can win because of his CEO charm/looks. But he isn’t going to out charisma Obama, who is their christ savior.

Gingrich can nullify 750 million in ads by winning the debates and having had a record of balanced budgets.

The US doesn’t need a glamorous head of state; we need a head of GOVERNMENT, who has the capability of fixing America.

Ronald Reagan was still down in double digits to Jimmy Carter, two weeks before the Election in 1980, and won in a near-landslide.

You are so right. Joe Lunchbox who is standing at the gas pump filling his tank at $5.35 per gallon is NOT standing there thinking: “Wow, President Obama says his Economic Recovery is starting to work. He’s doing a good job. I’m gonna vote for him again.” NO, NO, NO! He standing there saying: “Effin’ gas prices. I don’t care who the Republican nominee is, I’m voting against that s.o.b. in The White House.”

I will pay $10.00 a gallon until Election Day if it will get the Marxist Muslim out of the White House.

When you have a message like that for everyone, not just the person you are replying to, you need to add a semi-colon and the word All behind the persons name you are replying to. (no dems; All) That way, everyone will receive notice that you have posted to them and they will read it. This post is sooooooo important. Thank you.

Newt will beat Obama.

We know that, but he has to get the nomination first. What can we do to get him and Rick to quit splitting the Conservative vote and giving Romney victory after victory???

At a time when the country is on the verge of collapse I don’t understand why some people are preoccupied with issues other than jobs, massive debt, or the growth of government that threatens to extinguish freedom for generations to come.

SPOT ON!!! It’s a shame no one can get Rev. Rick Santorum to understand that.

It’s utterly sickening to see all these people in the polls voting for Romney because they say “beating Obama is the highest priority.” What this means is they are voting for a candidate they don’t like as much as the others because they are ASSUMING they know how people who by their very nature THINK DIFFERENTLY THAN THEY DO will vote in November. How in the world could they possibly know how these other people think? Highly paid political consultants can barely make those kinds of predictions correctly more than half of the time. I just want to grab these people by the scruff of the neck, shake them silly and yell in their faces “STOP BEING SO STUPID, STUPID!”

Gas Prices... As long as gas prices are high and Obama is acting his usual stupid on this issue and advocating lunatic ideas to solve the issue he is going to keep losing more and more votes and if this stay like this by elections day there is over 70% he is going to lose the elections no matter who the Republican nominee is.

Yep - and his stupid "does that make sense, for me to want high gas prices, despite what me and my energy guy say, and keep on hurtin' people" interview last week shows how stupid he knows his base is.
