The Justice Department has blocked a new law in Texas requiring voters to show a photo ID, saying that it disproportionately harms Hispanic residents.

The action is the second time in three months that the Obama administration has blocked a state voter ID law. In December, the Justice Department struck down South Carolina’s new law requiring photo identification at the polls, saying it discriminated against minority voters. [snip]

It’s time the rubber meet the road. Every county sheriff should enforce voter ID at each poling place anyway. In places where a lefty sheriff won’t do it then send in the Rangers. Let Obama deal with that.

Exceptional idea . . . make that suggestion to your Texas U.S. Representatives in the House and both of your U.S. Senators.

This SHOULD BE THE ISSUE on which liberalism itself is exposed as the fraud it has always been, and should make the Democratic Party a laughing stock.

I am dumbfounded that liberals aren’t embarrassed to make the argument they are making, and I’m even more astounded a majority of the American public seems to be buying their argument.

We are DOOMED!

The same thing that happened to the constitution. It got crapped on by the Obama administration. This putz thinks he's the US Dictator-In-Chief. We're going to show him differently this November.

Whatever happened to “States’ Rights?”

Interestingly enough the piece of legislation known as the Voting Rights Act was signed into law by Texan Lyndon Baines Johnson in 1965.

Hell, LBJ just screwed with the election results the old-fashioned way. Here is Wikipedia's brief description of a three-volume examination of LBJ's career by Robert Caro (a forth volume to be released this year):
The Years of Lyndon Johnson

Caro's books portray Johnson as alternating between scheming opportunist and visionary progressive. Caro argued, for example, that Johnson's victory in the 1948 runoff for the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate was achieved through extensive fraud and ballot stuffing.

You already have to show id to do everything. I just had to show id to buy a video game yesterday, and I look most of my 40+ years old.

I had to sign on the dotted line to buy Mucinex at a Walmart pharmacy.

“You already have to show id to do everything”

Exactly. Here in GA you have to show ID to buy wine or beer at the grocery store no matter how old you look. I’ve seen the cashiers turn illegals down because they didn’t have ID.
