I think you may have missed Santorum who was also on Hannity right before Newt. They both mirrored each other about Romney is not a sure thing in getting enough delegates to get the nomination outright.

He says he will compete in TX, CA and PA and suggested Pennsylvanians are not all that happy with Santorum.

If they want to increase the odds of blocking Myth to the delegates, they divvy up those 8 winner-take-all states so one of them takes on Myth one-on-one. Newt takes Texas while Santo takes New York and so on. Santo and Newt's Super Pacs could even double team Myth Romney in all winner-take-all states.

I was hoping Newt would hold a press conference on this-make it a bigger deal than merely a statement.

I believe he still can do just that later.

But,mtrott, Newt will get credit- because again, he was clever. He specified a price- Romney says the specific price is pandering, and Obama says he can’t control price. So, they’re locked in position-

Thus, the rest of them can only say that gas has to come down— but, the $2.50 gas campaign exclusively belongs to Newt.

Yes and yes, it is easy for the public to understand the "$2.50/gal" price, and Newt can expand on the issue as I have in posted in #15, which blows Mitten's and Obama's simple excuses.

Yesterday at Costco gas station, I paid $4.24 /gallon (regular).

I said this a few days ago... I drove cross-country the other day. Paid $4.05 at my favorite California convenience store (its now at $4.25)... about $3.75 in Vegas if I remember right... $3.29 in Utah (highway price), $2.95 in Wyoming (highway price), $3.08 in Denver. Then similar prices on the return.

We pay an extra buck a gallon just for living in California.

The price drops immediatly as soon as you leave the state.

There are those within this nation who cannot abide a wealthy America. They will forever maneuver events so that our wealth is spent buying what we could provide easily from our own resources.
A wealthy and productive nation never chooses poverty and slavery. They do not desire a despotic ruler.
Communism can only be born in the midst of poverty and misery.
This is all part of the plan and the communist/socialist types have been working the plan for a long time. Communism can not be implemented unless the citizens are hurting bad, abject misery, therefore we must be impoverished, unemployed and with no way out.

Taxes on business and industry were implemented and then raised causing them to leave this nation with our wealth and jobs. Restrictions were placed on extracting our natural resources and more taxes were implemented and again raised. the result was spending our wealth buying oil and metals from others. This is leading us down the garden path to accepting their utopia.

When we quit taxing business and industry, the corporations will move back because “WE” are the most productive workers in the world. When we extract our own oil and metals, we retain our wealth instead of sending it overseas. When we do these things we will be on the road to recovery. When we do these things the communists/socialists will fight us tooth and nail and remember, to them lie, cheat, steal and murder are OK as long as it furthers their agenda.

And now you know the rest of the story!

“Why this man isn’t walking away with the nomination is beyond me!” Couldn’t agree more!

I watched the forum intently. Someone should tell Santorum he is running for Commander in Chief, not Minister in Chief. We each have our own ministers, and we know who our Savior is. Additionally, I do not appreciate Santorum utilizing key words developed by Mr. Newt. That to me makes him a cheap copy of the one and only original...Mr. Newt. We have suffered through the last 3.5 years with an amateur, we sure as hell do not need another one.

Santorum’s speech was full of grammatical errors, stumbles, and stutters. Santorum was speaking as though he was very aware of who was coming up behind him, and definitely seemed off his stride. I noticed the other night after Santorum won Kansas (full of stupid people), that he started using Mr. Newt’s words to describe the difference in choice between he and Obama. That is not cool. Next he will be saying he will “never bow to a Saudi King.” That to me is very tacky, and quite unprofessional as an attorney. To me, it is like plagiarism, an academic crime, but for a presidential candidate it just shows that he is not ready for prime time. Santorum also lied about Mr. Newt on several occasions. By the way, I too got several of Santorum’s robo calls before the Kansas caucus. They were filled with lies and innuendos about Mr. Newt, touting his marriage credentials and all those children. Any of those adult children serve in the military? I bet not. At least Ms. Sarah’s son did his tour before beginning his life as an adult. By the way, I have a daughter who served in the Navy for four years (the son I always wanted) before getting married (first), settling down to give me a grandson 2 years later.

Now, Mr. Newt opened up with an immediate attack on Obama, after his mouthpiece, Carney, called Mr. Newt a liar. Very cool!! Mr. Newt can think on his feet like no one else and prepare a comeback that knocks your socks off. Mr. Newt even read the quote word for word, so he wouldn’t make a mistake as to what was said by Carney. And as if that were not enough, Mr. Newt challenged him to a debate on energy (not that the coward Obama would take him up on it). Mr. Newt can fill up 15 minutes (yes, he was cut off in the allocation of time), like no other. I could listen for hours. His depth of knowledge just amazes me. His power to capture the room is evident. His debating skills alone would be enough for me, but he is right on almost every issue of national importance.

Romney is a weasel for not showing up, and Ricky-boy should have also passed on this one. He did not do well at all, and sounded desperate to make his points. His language was poor, and he was not truthful in his attacks on Mr. Newt. Without a doubt, Mr. Newt was the defined winner of this forum, and, unless Alabama and Mississippi are as stupid as Kansas was, should take both states with decent margins. I recorded this event and will watch it again later, but thought I would give you my opinion…anyone for some Pecan Pie?

Hear hear! I’m with you! Why fight when we can have both?

What could stop this from happening?

I believe the excitement that would arise from the base if that were announced out of the convention would dwarf even the excitement generated by Sarah Palin’s entry into the race.

What could stop it from happening is Romney + Paul + the uncommitted party member delegates having more total delegates by the end of the primary than Newt + Rick do. And my reading of the upcoming states with many winner-take-all contests is that the only way Newt + Rick can have more delegates than the others by the end is one of them drops out, because it would allow the other one to get over 50% in some contests, which invokes rules that give them ALL the delegates, and because it would stop Romney from winning most plurality winner-take-all contests, where even a mere 26% would give him all the delegates if the other 3 candidates split the vote.

Yes Greta is doing a fair & balanced job. She’s the ONLY one there doing so. Who would’ve thought that would be the case years ago when she arrived?

You graph does not show gas prices for 2012. I have looked everywhere and can’t find anything that shows the current numbers. Perhaps they are hiding something.

Romney has won delegates primarily from Blue States. Republicans will not win the next election in those states, for those states will vote Democratic Party.

Frankly, I do not expect Romney to get enough delegates to automatically win the nomination in the first round.

Um, you could say this is female intuition!

The last 3.5 years have been the presidential version of “Movin’ On Up”.
