They treated him very badly as though he was under some cross examination of a serious crime. The disdain for him was not even covered up. Newt feels the country cannot withstand another moderate liberal so close to Obama. Newt wants to save the country. I am in on the ride as his email states tonight. He is taking on the establishment.

You are so right. Its not a crime to stay in the race all the way to the end. I think conservatives (me included) just had a bellyful of getting drunk and voting for some mediocre candidate like McCain just to watch him lose. This year we just don’t want to cave in and do it again. I say let Newt stay in if he is willing to take the heat and lets take it to the convention and hash it out there. Every so many decades we need a good bloodletting to clear the air.

Besides, the only thing standing between Santorum and millions of dollars of negative Willard ads is Newt Gingrich.
