I would venture to say that the $5.00 threshold is the beginning of the end for the “Lyin’ King”.

At a little past $4.00 a gallon, the roads are deserted by 8PM. He sure did cut gas consumption in Amewrica by 60%. Even higher when the price goes to $5.00.

I think he will make a critical misjudgment and put in “price controls” to try to win over the populous. It will result in gas lines and that should finish off his chances.

The one problem I see is if he does it in the month before the election. Will there be time for the lines to form to offset the goodwill the stupid people will feel about him doing something?

We need to remind everyone that price controls caused the gas lines of Jimmy Carter’s administration.
