Reuters reports that the Obama administration will cut off birth control funding for low-income women in Texas because Texas has cut off the state's taxpayer-funding of Planned Parenthood:

The federal government will withdraw funding for a Texas program providing more than 100,000 poor women with birth control and other health services because Planned Parenthood clinics are not allowed to participate, a Health and Human Services spokeswoman said on Friday.

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced the decision in Houston on Friday, prompting a furious response from Texas Governor Rick Perry, who called it an "egregious federal overreach."

At the heart of the dispute between the administration of President Barack Obama and Texas is the divisive issue of abortion.

This can’t be real.

An American President using the power of office to support an abortion mill?

A simple explanation of Fascism:

The government chooses which business is worthy of nation-wide support and which business should be financially punished for not agreeing.

Obama administration will cut off birth control funding for low-income women in Texas

What is the legal basis for the Executive Branch to do this?

Sounds like orders from "Comrade Chairman Obama"

Birth control pills can be had for as little as $9 a month. If they can’t scratch up that paltry amount then they shouldn’t have sex.

If my roots weren’t sunk so deep in Tennessee, I would consider moving to Texas.

This shows he doesn’t really care about helping poor women gain greater access to birth control, he only cares about funding for PP, and he’s using poor women as his club.

Plus abstinence is free and it is a 100% effective form of birth control.

The conservative problem with this story is that it will be told in a tiny bit of America and the president, the DemocRAT leaders of HHS and DOJ will get no blow back from the public - how do I know...see Indiana for history.
