PRINCETON, NJ -- Republican voters who prefer Newt Gingrich for the party's 2012 presidential nomination are as likely to name Mitt Romney as their second choice as they are to name Rick Santorum, suggesting the race would not tilt in Santorum's favor if Gingrich dropped out.

I’ll except bombastic. Although, your first sentence was “I don’t know where you have been the last month” which sounds to me like you’re suggesting I am in the dark. Which I found ironic since I mostly agree about Gingrich staying in..even if it forces a brokered convention.

Go Team!

Santorum is no more conservative than Romney and understands far less about economics.

Santorum lead the charge on welfare reform in the Senate as a freshman Senator. He opposed the individual mandate that Gingrich and others were proposing as an alternative to Hillarycare. He has voted for a balanced budget amendment. He favors tax cuts.

Romney, on the other hand, gave us the original version of Obamacare, raised taxes and fees $700 million in Massachusetts and that state is facing mounting debt due to RomneyCare.

I'd say all that makes Rick far more conservative.

Unlike Romney, Rick isn't like to sellout conservatives on tax increases. His advisers have already floated the idea of a VAT tax.

This Gingrich supporter would be voting “brokered convention” if Newt drops out. I’d be unhappy with the Massachusetts liberal, the religious union-kissing Democrat, or Uncle Nutso.

What are Romney’s accomplishments? What tells you he is intelligent? I haven’t seen it. In the words of Alan Jackson, “...it’ll just take money.” and his was inherited, or from daddy’s rich friends. He does what Carl Icahn did except Carl risked his own cash.

You make assertion without data. Mitt’s main economic asset is being born into the Lucky Sperm Club.

I am no fan of Mitt at all - will never get over what he did to Newt in Iowa and Florida - but your assessment of him is brain dead. Moreover, I was talking about what is in the mind of those who will support him, - not trying to justify it, just trying to define it.

Brain dead. You see, it’s terms like these that endear you gingrich supporters with your superior intelligence to us knuckle-dragging barely literate fundamentalist or Papist Santorum supporters. Let me give you ultimate truth one more time, said without reference to how good or bad Gingrich himself may be.
Newt will never NEVER be nominated for the top spot. His electoral experience is strictly in the House. Not in the GOP in the twenty-first century. Ain’t gonna happen. Oh, I’m sorry, that was evidently my brain dying a little more. If you want to win support, don’t insult your audience. I assure I can dish as well and you might not realize for a while that I’ve done it. This was not a particularly subtle post, but it’s early and I’m feeling charitable.
Now I’m going to the Dogtown parade to march with my fellow brain-dead Papists before the big Santorum voodoo rally.

You are brain dead because you can’t keep on subject. You ramble around with incoherent little bits of half truths and connect dots that do not connect. Your last post had nothing to do with what we were talking about. You are like arguing with a three year old.

I am done with you.

“You are like arguing...”, do you proof anything, or just post in whatever language structure you like?
Posting isn’t tweeting.

Santorum is my 2nd choice - but I’m not an enthusiastic supporter, but he would be far better than Obama. Romney is Obama-light. If Obama wins, were hosed and you will see civil unrest in the streets.

There’s a bumper sticker that expresses it well: Vote Republican - because we can’t all be on welfare!
