How about Thomas Sowell for president?

The man will be 82 in June. Other than that, Hell Yes!

I pray to God that there is a Brokered Convention and none of the Three Stooges or Kook-Daddy leave Tampa with the nomination. Ryan/Rubio in 2012.

SARAH PALIN. Neither Ryan nor Rubio have been sufficiently vetted and it's too late after the convention.

"Ryan/Rubio in 2012."

Spot on, no dems! That ticket would sew up the White House for the next 16 years.

I assume he did not know the guy was a SEAL when he did that, and the video I saw only showed part of the exchange, so I don’t know about the SEAL. The media calls Jesse Ventura a SEAL, so I will give the Gov a little bit of slack.

Romney is the “Jim Carrey” character: “Not a chance in a million” that I support him.

Other than Palin, Perry was my choice early on.

Amen to that. I'll add Newt and hope a brokered convention will result in a combination of any two.

Thanks for the link to this piece, Smooth.

Until Rubio puts up his parents naturalization papers a big thumbs down on that.

I don't believe anybody is interested in a "Brokered" convention. In my view conservatives are fervently wishing for something as simple as a "Contested" convention. "Brokered" wreaks of cigarette and cigar smoke in back rooms far away from any semblance of "Transparency!"

I further see the truth being better served by the white hot light of pitched contest right out on the convention floor and a chairperson running the microphone with an iron clad sense of fairness!!!

From the posts on this thread and others on the subject, freepers appear split between brokered and contested, but leaning toward brokered.

A contested convention is much more likely than a brokered one,IMHO, assuming of course that Romney falls short of 1144 on the first ballot.

YES WAY; for those of us who are not a “Johnny-one note” on the issues and realize there are a whole slew of issues facing this nation in crisis and we have to look at the big picture, not just one frame. BTW, when you find the perfect candidate, please let us all know. I’ll be watching here for your reply, but I won’t hold my breath.

PAUL RYAN / MARCO RUBIO...the average Republican voter has little idea of who those guys are. Won’t sell, won’t win.

Surely you jest. After months of Kook-Daddy and the Three Stooges, you don’t think America would be thrilled to see two fresh, new, Conservative faces come out of Tampa on the Ticket? I guarantee you; they will become a known quantity as fast as Sarah Palin did; OVERNIGHT. Take it to the bank.
