That reminds me of the Dart system we have locally. It was sold as a social issue - for the disadvantaged. We could send a taxi to pick up everyone who rides it and come out ahead.

In Irving we see huge buses lumbering by constantly with one, two or no passengers. Gripes me big time.

I'm warming to the idea of a convention brawl.

1) It would bring an unprecedented number of viewers to our convention.
2)It delays Obie's attack on our guy, (unless he wants to attack them all).
3) Undecided voters don't pay attention until fall.
4) Our guys will have plenty of time to get their licks on Obie, even while fighting amongst themselves.
5) It might provide a chance to bring a new face into the race "for the good of the party"...Paul Ryan, Marco Rubio.

If Mitt doesn't have it wrapped by then, he's got to read the tea leaves. It seems more and more Pubbies are realizing how weak Mitt would be, with his too-similar positions on Obiecare, immigration, etc. and his hesitancy to ATTACK Obama.

I have now watched the Fox “Looney” interview. I note that the “Looney” responses were heavily edited, and even so, he appeared barely coherent. I suspect that really looney parts were redacted. I agree that his past political stands were, at best, despicable.

Yep, as for Santorum and Romney, it’s the economics, the economy will not recover if we just back off a little on liberal policies without implementing conservative solutions, that’s where I could be more enthusiastic about either of them, and right now I think Romney is second behind Newt in offering a more conservative economic solution...and Hillary said he couldn’t handle the call at 3am, he can’t handle the call when it comes at 3pm, a specific example that should be brought up by the media in a debate, as when someone had to give him that jacket to put over his golf shirt so he’d aesthetically look more business like...

(and that’s one problem everyone needs to get, if one generalizes criticism like “he lies”, back it up with a specific example)

-- Something about "Shamus" the dog????? I don't know what they were talking about. --

Probably a reference to Romney putting his dog, Seamus, on the roof of his car (in a carrier), then driving for hours.

I don’t know if it will go that far but I won’t be sad if it does. All the benefit comments you made. I think the so-called pundits who are complaining about the short time between the nomination and the election are wrong.

Mitt could still win it, at the convention or earlier, but at the minimum it keeps our issues alive and in the news for people to talk about and think about. Daily this would remind the voting public about how horrible 0bama has been.

For sure son. We have some huge problems. They require huge solutions. Only Newt has them.If he’s not nominated his ideas should be.

This Clooney thing.....watched/read about how it evolved and have to smirk.

But first, I must suppose that stopping a genocide and intentional starvation of a populace is not a good thing. That’s the cause for which Clooney fights and hey, I’ll give him a grudge of admiration for using his fame and influence to stop a true evil.

I heard he stopped by the WH yesterday and after giving the O campaign a hefty donation, they advised him to go himself arrested for the publicity.

They would call up the Meet the Press people and arrange for him to be on the show tomorrow.

good luck.

I mean these poor Sudanese people getting terrorized and starved....Clooney’s fighting for a good cause.

But like it always goes, there’s probably something I don’t know. Unlike before, I now squint with attention and vow to not accept the story as presented by the Lamestream and yeah, even George Clooney.

Good job! As every freeper should add comments in their local news/online media outlets too. Keep it short, specific, factual, and to the point.

I am becoming very disillusioned with having troops anywhere in the middle east. Those people do not appreciate any of our efforts and, sadly, I don’t think our efforts have accomplished anything.

So how many of these "1 billion" moslems live in highly nukable cities?

Problem solved?

before I forget, want to mention that it was so nice to see our spokesnoid, Senator McCain.

Guy spent all kind of time defending the Afghan war and dag, he is my hero for passing that Campaign Finance Reform, I sleep better at night knowing it’s the law of the land. What a great legislative achievement that was.

McCain also took Obama to task for not fighting the wars properly and just a thought here....but shouldn’t he have mentioned that sort of thing DURING his campaign against Obamer?

Doggone, McCain wouldn’t even let us use Obamer’s middle name for God’s sake.

And now he is back....dear Lord he’s BAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCKKK!

Speaking for us he is, such a fine candidate he was. He reaches across the aisle with polished nails and, as husband reminded twenty times this morning....

....he is a Maverick.

Just my random thoughts.

So right on! Let's hope the other candidates see that and can quit nit-picking each other and let the chips fall where they may from here on out. Especially for the sound conservative economics solutions, otherwise I see this country's recovery as being slow and gradual and Democrats will once again have their seemingly legitimate criticisms(even though there is a big disconnect).

Yep, McCain had the opportunity to critique what we all knew would and did happen under Democrat economic policy during the drawn-out Democrat primary since February that year, and instead panicked 3 weeks before the election when Joe the Plumber decided it was time to start paying attention. Joe may have not been so undecided if McCain wasn’t so intent on being Mr Nice-guy.

I don't think Mitt is going to accept the idea that conservatives don't like him. He's been running too long to ever consider that. Besides, he's actually winning primaries and delegates, so he is way ahead of Newt in accepting what is actually happening as opposed to how it was supposed to happen in the battle plan drawn up before the first shot was actually fired.

And I do like the idea of a short election campaign; it might inspire more normal people to get into future elections instead of just offering us voters the choices of which candidates are willing to spend years running for a nomination.
