Your comment reminds me of one other item. All our candidates need to start using terminology about how our current situation was exacerbated by Democrats who took over congress after the 2006 election. That it’s Democrat proposals and policies that are killing the economy. Yes, some Republicans joined them but it was Democrats and their liberal and progressive base who pushed us to where we are today. Thank Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi who helped Barney Frank and others destroy our economy until 0zero could get elected to make it even worse.

Exactly, Altura!
It would be nice if we got over the attitude of “my way or the highway” for the good of the country at some point regardless of who gets the nod as our candidate.

I agree but that means we have to keep our issues out front as long as we can. That means extending the primary season for as long as possible to keep driving home each point. It would not bother me one bit if the Democrats only had two months to mount a campaign against us. Rush is right, the longer this goes on the more panic we see in their actions and responses as they try to change the conversation or dismiss their dismal failures.

I think we should start a prayer wheel of support here on Freep...I would also like to know if Sgt Bales has a “dream team” of attorneys?

I am still not convinced this was not the Taliban setting him up.

Thanks AB for informing us. I’ll say a prayer for the Bales family - particularly the SSG and hope you will keep us informed.

Looks like CNN is trying to win the ratings war of the Sunday shows with Santorum & Ryan. That’s a headline in itself!

Finally someone brings it up.How the country took a huge dive off the platform when the dirty dems took control over congress in 2006. We need to stop anyone from blaming GW when it was the piglosi mantra that started destroying the country in 2006 not anything GW did.

Regarding Rush Limbaugh, I wrote a cranky letter to a Dallas Morning News columnist, a lame liberal lady (and a dull writer).

She was calling Limbaugh a pig and constantly used the term ‘oink’, as in Limbaugh oinked.

I challenged her on a couple of things. One, she was decrying name calling while calling someone a pig. Apparently, she didn’t see the irony.

Two, I mentioned the tolerance of name calling by liberal dudes such as Bill Maher and Letterman. She said she didn’t like Maher but didn’t write about him because he wasn’t an influential figure like Rush. (that much is true).

She was also decrying the attacks on women. I informed her that being in any group, women, black, gay, whatever, did not entitled one to behave badly without being rebuked.

I told her that I am currently in two groups: female and old but that I didn’t expect to be able to be a lying bitch without being called on it.

I heard Rush the day he made the comments and just laughed. He was ticked off at the gall of the woman. He made a mistake (I guess) as the left seized upon it as an opportunity to bash him and conservatives.

However, it did end up shedding some light on the Fluke gal and her hypocrisy.

So how it balanced out, I don’t know if we’ll know.

Yeah that’s true. But Ryan is a born leader and my guess is some time in the future he, Palin and Marco will take their leadership places and our party will shine again.

Excuse me. Don’t you remember that Paul Ryan is nothing more than “a right-wing social engineer”—??

Truthfully two things, one I was extremely busy in meetings organizing these petitions and second, I was thinking my articles may be taking away from this thread.

Crazy thing is, this county now has a Freeper who is basically running the GOP now. They turned over half the county to me yesterday and with these petitions which are all over the Oregonian and turning the place upside down, amazing things are happening.

We are fighting in the belly of the beast. This is where the earth movement started and where it is going to end. I need your prayers.

Pray for America

bray!!! I respond indignantly. No, your articles are a valuable addition to this thread and I think most or all of us look forward to them.

I forbid you to stop.

Don’t make me come over there.

I read your and Altura’s post about this mess overseas and count me in.

Afghanistan ain’t gonna be rebuilt, much less with America’s lack of resolve and the politicization of every war.

I’m weary of it and think we should get out.

We SHOULD have won the war, period, put that third rock back on top of the bottom two rocks, told the children to play nice, that we’d be watching, and left them.

Iraq....almost, not quite, but almost same thing.

time for the Iraqis to take control. America just needs to keep stern eyeball on it all but let them live how they want.

It just gets SO confusing. I remember when climate change and global warming used to be called “winter” and “summer”, and we used to be able too call terrorists “terrorists” instead of insurgents. I even remember when “gay” meant to be fun loving, happy and jolly. Now I have to remind myself that a woman who is paid for sex is a “Fluke”!!!

The middle east is becoming more and more fundamentalist muslim and it’s spreading to formerly more liberal countries like Egypt.

True, and the obama administration helped to ensure this would happen with their "Arab Spring" stance.

LOL. And I used to remember when “giving someone a Lewinsky” was considered to be having sex.
