Gas prices up for 9th straight day (Obama's Fault)
cnn ^ | 3/18/2012 | staff

Posted on 03/18/2012 6:10:09 AM PDT by tobyhill

The national average price for a gallon of gasoline rose for the ninth straight day on Sunday to $3.838. That is now only about 6.7% below the record high of $4.11 from July 2008.

The average price rose by three-tenths of a penny, according to the survey of gas stations conducted for the motorist group AAA. Gas prices are now up more than 17% this year.

The nationwide average was $3.52 a gallon a month ago and $3.76 a gallon on March 9 -- the day that prices started rising again after a few days of slight declines.

Gasoline averages more than $4 a gallon in seven states: Alaska, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, New York and Washington. Gas prices are also above $4 a gallon in the District of Columbia, according to AAA. At nearly $4.48 a gallon, Hawaii ranks as the nation's high. Prices are less than a dime away from $4 a gallon in Michigan, Nevada, Oregon and Wisconsin.

Yup....just keep printing money....

I'd love to figure out how much of this price increase is the dollar being devalued

That being said...the laws of supply and demand still exist (not with the administration) so if we started drilling everywhere and pump as much oil as possible...that MIGHT affect the price at the pump long term...

Yeah...I know that's a really stupid idea when we can grow algae farms instead. /S

The United States should be the leading oil producing nation in the world.

If this was allowed to happen Obama and the Left could NOT bring down the free market Capialist economy.

yep, it’s a conspiracy, but no theory.

The way the leftmedia's been killing themselves spinning this issue, it's quite obvious that these high gas prices are going to put the big-time hurt on The One's chances for re-selection, and they know it.

******

Election Day Nov. 2012:

On election day Nov. 2012, many voters will stop at their nearby gas stations to buy some gas before they head on to their voting site.

If gas is $5 or more a gallon when these voters buy their gas, they will leave the gas station in a very bad mood because of all that money they had to pay for just a few gallons of gas.

These angry voters may take out their frustration and anger in the voting booth by voting against Obama on election day Nov. 2012.

Warning: If President Obama keeps waiting and waiting before he tries something to lower the price of gas, he may wait too long and end up losing the election in Nov. 2012.

That is, if Obama continues to procrastinate and waits until June or later to try to lower the price of gas, it will be too late to save his presidency, because voters will conclude that Obama is trying to lower the price of gas merely to try to save his presidency and not to help the American public.

“Media: Not Obama’s fault.” Well the media is wrong again. Hey Obozo, I got a suggestion for you: stick one thumb in your mouth and one thumb in your arse, now switch thumbs. That nasty taste in your mouth, is the same taste that American public taste every time we fill up our cars and trucks. It’s because of your incompetence. You can’t lead and won’t follow, so get hell out of the way.
