No, it doesn't. There was an 8.6 on March 28th in 2006. I'm sure if a similar prediction was out that year, whoever made it was pointing at that 8.6 as some kind of vindication.

Youtube is full of such predictions. Most end up not having an earthquake (or a deadly comet strike such as predicted with Elenin) happen within the predicted timeframes. The prediction itself talked about utter physics jibberish as a cause. Just as the Elenin predictions were full of jibberish as well.

I partially agree with you except for the fact that there has been a M7+ at exactly each of the previous 188 day cycles.

I haven't had a chance to download the USGS data and compile a program to check how far back this pattern goes.

It's easier to just wait for the 22nd.
