Actually Bloomberg is the perfect example of a republican.

Bloomberg left the Republican party in 2007 to become an Independent.
He is the epitome of "in name only" because he has never been and will never be a Republican. He only switched his party affiliation because there were so many in the dem Mayor primary in NY. Once he one the Rep nomination he basically bought his way into the seat and has continued to pay to stay there.
He has a Napoleonic complex, plain and simple.
