Eventually, Martin the 6’3 140lb football player (tall, fast, and lean) got the upperhand on the 5’2 250lb (short, slow, and overweight) Zimmerman. So much so that he is actually on top of Zimmerman on the ground beating the crap out of his face (he broke his nose) and slammed Zimmerman’s head into the concrete causing it to bleed.

Zimmerman cries for help, as a result of this fight domination by Martin, went unanswered and as a last resort he shot Martin to save his own life. If you have never had someone on top of you beating your face and banging your head into concrete then you don’t know how deadly that can be.

But you see, he started the fight (Zimmerman) by following the kid and approaching him. I can see how the kids actions were justified, it was a fight, and for all he knew, the guy was trying to kill him. You ever been followed and approached by someone?

Once the fight started, zimmerman may have been justified, but the fact is, he caused the fight, he holds at least some responsibility and should answer for it.

Now ALL that said, I would not be surprised if more info comes out that casts a different light on the confrontation, as I have seen here already in this thread. The MSM is going to milk this and slant this for as long as they can, and if they could get a trial or something around October, they would be jumping for joy...

We dont know that, and that's part of the main problem with the initial handling of the 'investigation'. I'm unaware of any reliable reports that Mr. Zimmerman was treated by the local EMT or went to the hospital to fix his 'wounds'.

Also, I would hope a proper investigation would have photographed Mr.Zimmerman and surrounding areas to conduct a proper investigation, for all we know the blood found on Mr.Zimmerman, could have come from Mr. Martin.

In my CCW class, we were taught that an attacker does not need to be armed in order to be considered a deadly threat which allows the use of deadly force. Somebody younger and stronger than me can beat me to death. Multiple young kids can likewise be consider a sufficient threat.

If Martin punched Zimmerman and then ran, then Zimmerman would have had no continuing threat to respond to, and shooting an unarmed Martin in the back would have been damning to Zimmerman's case.

If a 17 year old, 6'2 football player started beating up on me, I would consider my life in sufficient danger to open fire. I've been mugged by younger guys. If he's old enough to enlist in the Marines, then he's no longer a child.
