Exactly.

IMHO, CCW is for defensive purposes only. Or to prevent commission of a felony or protect others if a crime is being committed on them.

CCW is not a license to keep tabs on the neighborhood and question anything you don’t like.

That’s what cell phones and 911 are for.

Nor does being a neighborhood watch prohibit a licensed CWP holder from carrying, just like it doesn’t require you to. That’s the point of having a permit,it ALLOWS you to carry.

No, but having a neighborhood watch is ALL about surveillance. And criminals occasionally kill neighborhood-watch patrollers. That's why police tell the patrollers to hang back and not confront. But the prowlers often do confront the patrollers, esp. if they look elderly or "soft", and the police are still, "when seconds count, minutes away".

That’s what cell phones and 911 are for.

That's what Zimmermann did. Right up to the point where the thug jumped him and began rigorously beating his ass. So what part of "you must take a life-threatening beating by a powerfully-built athlete" did you find in neighborhood-watch manuals?

He used his cell phone correctly. He notified timely. The police were slow reacting. He got beaten, and he used his sidearm appropriately, to defend himself against a Junior OJ.

End of story. Unless you're Al Sharpton and Barack Obama.
