If you believe the story the kid ran away, Zimmerman broke off the chase and headed back to his truck. Then the kid came back and attacked him. Unfortunately and tragically the boy was killed. A terrible incident but no chargeable offense. Thats why the police have not arrested Zimmerman.

Do you have a source for this statement, other than Zimmerman? I thought that the neighbors heard the struggle in the back of their yards, which would not be the case if Zimmerman had gone back to his vehicle. Did Zimmerman break off the chase, or did Martin elude him? If a bad guy was chasing me, the element of surprise is something I would use to defend myself.
