Have you seen Trayvon's photo from his Facebook page (since scrubbed from the source, somebody reported)?

It's circulating on another thread. Seems to support the 6-2, 200 report.

More importantly, though, I want to know WHY this event suddenly became news. It happened on February 26. But only now does it reach the national media. WHY?

Who called the media's attention to it? And why? The story has been around since Feb. 27.

Another thread has a link to the Fox 35/Orlando website where the Feb 27 report was posted. It cited the witness who is quoted in the article at the head of this thread. So his testimony has been out there from the start -- why is it re-discovered an repeated only now?

And there appears to have been no appreciable local reaction to the story. Only after national media attention has been focussed on the event -- and Rev. Al, Jesse and Louie arrive -- do we get "demonstrations".

There is a much bigger story lurking behind all this: it's the why this story is a story now.
