That was my thought.

Was the kid 6’2” and 200 lbs? I heard that as well.

So, if this neighborhood watch guy tried to ascertain what was going on with this unknown individual in the neighborhood who ran away from him, and when he grew tired and gave up the chase and was, I am presuming, returning to meet the police, was then attacked by the individual who was probably pummelinging him, then at that point he was standing his ground and could have been in fear for his life...if that is when the shooting occurred, then it is clear that is why the kid was shot and according to the law, justifiably so.

Sad and tragic for this young man and his family, but he was in a gated community (and why was he there? was that on the way to the store and back from the game?). If Trevon chose to turn around and attack this man, then he suffered the terrible consequences.

We desperately need to let all of the facts come out...and from unbiased investsigatore interested only in the truth.

I've heard 6' and 6'2", but stringbean build, 165 pounds or so.

At that point he can't be "standing ground" because, assuming he has been overwhelmed with superior force, he's lost the option of retreat.

Before he was taken down by Trayvon, he claims he was in retreat. He'd given up trying to locate Trayvon, and was headed back to his truck to wait for the police. By his story, he is no longer attempting to close the distance between himself and Trayvon.

Trayvon had a right to be in that community - his father or some other relative lives there, and Trayvon was living/visiting there.

Indeed. Not worth it.

You’ve pretty much come to the same conclusion I have on the events. Treyvon had been visiting his father and they were at the father’s fiance’s when Trayvon left to go to a store for tea and skittles and was on his way back to the father’s fiance’s home.

When Zimmerman stopped looking and was returning to his truck, the kid should have left well enough alone. Instead, it looks like he attacked Zimmerman from behind. I think they find that he was shot at close range because he was on top of Zimmerman, beating on him.

Kid went down hill fast, slab report said his weight was 160. The kid was a six foot string bean.
