An interesting point is that having a shaved head is a good look if you are black, but if you are white, you are a “skinhead racist” it’s a guttural reaction.

I have been shopping with my son and watched him get the up and down look and a sneer from some black people.
My son who has no tats, no piercings and usually dresses in jeans a tee or a collared knit shirt with tennis shoes but he a slick bald head.
He started losing his hair by the time he was 16 and I agree with him, it looks better shaved. The fringe wrap around makes him look much older and the fringe is what is noticed before anything.
If this race stuff gets whipped up too much more— I will be begging him to go with the fringe look.
