My apologies for not having updated the prayer thread the last two days. We’ve been at the hospital with Jeannie and she really needs our prayers more now than ever.
Good news is her cardiac issues are serious but can be controlled through medication, rest, etc.
As a good friend described medicine to me as Whack-A-Mole, each time something is found and whacked down, another mole pops up. Not until we beat down all of the moles are we done. I think this is pretty apt.
We have learned Jeannie has a fractured disc in her back and is now, having been in the hospital flat on her back for 5 days, having pulmonary issues.
Fluid is building up slowly in her lungs, causing her problems breathing and her pain level is pretty intense.
We are awaiting results from her pulmonologist and also for a MRI she is having today.
The last 24 hours has not been easy on Jeannie and in fact this has been the first time she’s really complained or said she didn’t feel good at all since being admitted.
Please please, keep her and her husband James in your prayers and I’ll update as soon as I have more information.
Thank You and please send this out to respective ping lists who are thinking/praying for Jeannie.
Thanks for the update......prayers for Jeanne’s healing continue.....Julie
I have been watching this thread closely.
Prayers continuing for Jeannie.
Just got home and checked for an update...darn, I had hoped it was better, but some of it is good.
I guess the Whack-a-Mole theory is at work!
I hope she can get them to elevate her upper body. It will help the breathing and fluid problems.
I will watch for more good news.
No white trucks, but I did get a soft “camo” one that I can fill as an Easter basket. Candy in the room, and the invitation to have some, may bring more nurses to check on her too!
Prayers continue for Jeannie.
