You are most welcome. This is serious, but we have to keep our heads on our shoulders and remember the power of humor or satire.

Heck.

That Photoshop of mine was neither humor nor satire.

I have often wished that other people have thought bubbles I can see. “Wait...” you say, “...would you like other people reading YOUR thought bubble?”

LOL, unfortunately, everyone I know can read me like a damned book just by my face! They already CAN read a thought bubble on me!

I just want to level the playing field...:)

he’s been dealing with a genetically poor heart since age 37...no fault of his...he was an athlete as a young man

can you imagine him doing all he has all these years with a crippled cardiac system...well i can tell you it sucks...a scarred ventricle ain’t much fun hoss....carrying all that dead blue meat around with every pump....outta breath, chest pains and tightness and weakness and his was far worse than my maladies (genetic too)

do you have an issue with him getting a dead person’s heart...they didn’t need it anymore

he’s carried a lot of water for you..and us...fairly solid on 85% of our issues...especially a a guy with balls about the real world

if I get in trouble again I’ll be sure and ping ya for permission fore my family goes wasting blue cross dollars and all

To: wardaddy; Mr. K

By the time he was Secretary of Defense, he’d had three heart attacks. God love him for serving his country as well as he did. He didn’t have to...it wasn’t a requirement.

Thank God that he didn’t have to deal with IPAB. He would have been a goner.

“if I get in trouble again I’ll be sure and ping ya for permission fore my family goes wasting blue cross dollars and all”

You don’t need Mr. K’s permission. You have mine...;o)

Prayers up for Mr. Cheney for his recovery, the donor and their family and friends who are grieving, as well as Cheney’s family who I know are dealing with a great deal of worry and stress no matter how well things look at this hour. Prayers also for all of his medical caregivers.

[I’m a bit surprised that he would make a list at his age, but if he is otherwise healthy he’s probably got as good a chance of recovery as others who are younger... I’m aware there are a lot of criteria that can make decisions hard to understand from the outside. May God protect Cheney from the negative comments and “vibes” which I know are coming his way from the “left” right now, too.]

You are very correct that the post-op period is not an easy one in these cases. I’ll be praying along with you for the next few days especially, and weeks beyond as well. The world would be a worse place without VP Cheney in it - especially with what we as a country are facing.

at least he’ll have a heart beat again...his supplimentary pumps have been the only thing pumping blood for quite a while as he waited for this heart.

Doubt that many knew. So hope and pray that his new heart gives him the healthiest of life; that for so many years he has not experienced. Love and Prayers for Dick Cheney and all his family; so near and dear to him.

My dad died at 68 heart disease. I would have given anything to have him do what Cheney did and live to see his second Granddaughter.

I believe the decision to be put on the transplant list is as personal as any other medical decision. Age is but one of many factors to consider.

Shifting gears, I wonder if the family of the donor has any clue the heart of their loved one is beating in Dick Cheney's chest? (It would not be hard for the family to at least figure out the probability) I would imagine the knowledge could be very comforting or devastating.

Thanks for that reminder pic. Love that one too; and yes a Cheney clarity per Obama, so evident in his gaze. A clarity, we know, that McCain never had - nor Bush (or, perhaps, not willing to show it). And certainly a 'clarity' than even now, fails Mitt Romney.

And, yes; Obama in what we know has become typical form - i.e. his 'compulsive' first on/hands on - 'power messaging' to Bush; as he does to ALL 'power'; he meets and greets; as evidenced in every photo-op. (A 'such as it is' rooted in Obama's inauthenticity and weakness.)
