If the insurance company has paid off on the claim for loss, they own the boat. Anyone who salvages the boat is entitled to 10% of the salvage value as a salvage fee.
If the insurance company wants it they had better hurry. If its been declared a hazard to navigation the authorities are probably planning on sinking it.
