White House slams Newt for criticizing Obama’s Trayvon remarks (Newt hammers and stuns Obama )

The White House struck back at Newt Gingrinch on Sunday for the presidential wanna-be's criticism of Obama and his remarks about the Trayvon Martin killing.

The President said on Friday that “if I had a son, he'd look like Trayvon."

"I think (Trayvon’s parents) are right to expect that all of us as Americans are going to take this with the seriousness it deserves, and we are going to get to the bottom of exactly what happened," Obama said.

Gingrich, in a radio interview that same day, blasted the President’s comments as “disgraceful.”

"It's not a question of who that young man looked like," Gingrich said.

"Any young American of any ethnic background should be safe, period. We should all be horrified, no matter what the ethnic background. Is the president suggesting that, if it had been a white who'd been shot, that would be OK, because it wouldn't look like him? That's just nonsense."

I saw where the media is now calling Zimmerman a “white hispanic”. Reagarding the name, I read somewhere one parent is Jewish (guess that’s the ‘white’ part) & the other is Peruvian (so that must be the hispanic part).

What a way to blow an election in Florida, lynching a Hispanic Jew. /s

It is customary for ex-Presidents to be briefed on major foreign issues.

I hope that Obama is the first Ex to be stiffed in this regard.

What a traitor he is, playing to Putin’s interests.

You think the dumb downed voters will understand that NEWT is, not only can beat Obama, but will go after the judges who are ruling from the bench and bring this country back to ‘civilization’!

They don’t think that it could ever happen to them or family member!

Santorum and Romney are both scared of Gingrich, and preventing him from being in a situation where people can realistically compare his polished, well-thought out expression with their lame and stammering meanderings is vitally important to them.

Even without Gingrich to worry about, however, Santorum seems to be shooting himself in the foot on a daily basis. He makes Biden look articulate. The question is whether the voters care, because it seems that they have lost interest in ideas and are going for some image that appeals to them(Santorum the Godly, Romney the Multi-Millionaire).

The only encouraging thing is that Gingrich is not giving up, so perhaps he sees some hope somewhere out there, at least of a brokered convention that might provide other options.

You think Newt can’t win but you, undoubtedly, see he’s the one that can bring down Barry.

Lots of that *short sightedness* because of media propaganda - voters are truly dumbed down.

The other three are stooges and just want to get votes and no negative press. They are in it for themselves and NOT AMERICA. That’s what we already have in the WH already! I despise them.

I heard ONE time that this happened at midnight. I don’t really trust that single source completely. Has anyone else seen the time of the day that the murder happened?

“No one will be able to take on Obama like Newt can. Romney is already saying, we cannot be too critical on the opposing side. Why aren’t people thinking!”

Amen!

Gingrich at the end of his career? Hardly, Obama will be at the end of his poly career whether he wins or not. If he wins, he will have a republican majority in the house and senate to deal with, if he loses he gets a one way ticket to Kenya and becomes king...
