The shooting has drawn international attention to Florida's so-called Stand Your Ground law. It allows someone to "stand his or her ground and meet force with force, including deadly force," if that person feels it is neccessary to prevent death or bodily harm. Part of the agenda here is they want to repeal Stand Your Ground laws, and ensure that no new states enact Stand Your Ground laws. It makes it hazardous for union thugs and other leftists to try to intimidate conservatives.
What has the Libs upset is that justifiable homicide in FL has gone up from 12/year before Stand Your Ground to around 35/year after Stand Your Ground. This may be excessively intimidating to the criminal class.
